Turning DH into Beefcake was simple. Open the lids of the eyes more to make the classic "coked-out" Beefcake look, add a mullet in the back, sand back the hairline, and wa-bam! Done!
I can see the resemblance with Awesome also.
Mase, I use Testors Model Masters. I don't fool with dullcoat sealers anymore. I like the semi-gloss look. Mattel's skintone seems to absorb most of the sheen anyway.

I tried cracking some more torsos today and for some reason had so much trouble with it today. Last time I did it perfectly but today I could barely get the torsos to crack. Anyway I managed to actually get a few done. Triple H: I tried doing a Triple H with a British Bulldog torso. It looks great up front, but it's barely functional. I had cracked the torso so roughly that it wasn't going back together without super glue. I super glued it but now the waist doesn't twist, and the left arm was actually stuck for a few minutes. I already ordered a new Triple H and Bulldog so I can try to do it more cleanly. Bret Hart: Not much has changed on this except I added some kneepads. Not a big deal but it does make a difference. Vince McMahon: I added a Jakks head for now, but I really want to give him a Mattel head. Kevin Nash: Here's another small update on my Kevin Nash fixup. This time a gave him Jakks arms. I didn't have any of his RA arms and the DA arms were too big, so this figure doesn't have any tattoos. Here's a quick action shot. James Storm: I actually did this a long time ago but had trouble uploading the pic. I know the head looks huge but I thought this head captured his likeness best. Robert Roode: Same deal with the head on this figure. This is still a WIP. I haven't painted the trunks yet. This is a Steve Austin torso and arms, Cody Rhodes lower body, and Triple H calves. Abyss: This was make with a Big Show body with Jakks RA lower legs. I may eventually get a new outfit for him.

Thanks guys. It is a modded Jakks Kenny head That Gate resized for me.
chinese_chicken, I think Mattel Ryder would work just as good though.

woah... getting some major Deju Vu from reading your posts there ChineseChicken and famousj... felt like I'd lived those last 30 seconds before. i'm being serious by the way, not joking...
anyway, I agree, it's great to see Chinese Chicken back doing wrestling customs. all the years I've been on WF, Chicken easily stands out as within the top 10 best customizers. and famousj's work is always amazing too, you gotta be in my top 10 of all time too man. looking at these quality pieces really takes me back to the good old days of WF customs, like 2002-2004 ish.
wish we could see the return to wrestling customs of more of the old greats. Tinyman and Stingray come to mind for me.

I'm thinking about making a Stunning Steve Austin. And maybe a Flyin Brian. We'll see what happens.
It's hard to find good reference pics of them so far though.
