Got a bulldog on the way so I'll ha e boots soon. But I think this head will be a place holder until something better comes a long... I'll wash the hair with something to blonde it up a bit..  I think it might be too short. I think Big John Studd wore medium red boots. I've some folks use an Elite 4 Big Show body with Hillbilly Jim lower legs, with George Steele boots and I've seen Hacksaw Jim Duggan's head used. |

I'm thinking its got something to do with the gloss they used on the boots. It's kinda sticky and they package the figures with the paint still wet in order to get them to retailers quicker. You said you got yours off after heating it and it was still stuck so maybe that ain't it. I ended up buying a spare body without the head/arms/boots from eBAY for $12 and some change. I'll just swap over the parts. If Mattel sends me a voucher i'll just compensate for my losses and use the rest for fodder I guess. Same thing happened withy RSC Kane. Luckily, the calf was black and I was able to swap an elite undertaker. The problem I've been having with the glossy boots have been worse, they end up collecting a ton of dust and look tacky/or like they're melting. I'll upload a pic of mines later. My RSC Kane (the first one) has a ton of dust on his boots. They don't wipe off so I have to run them under water and let it air dry. I used a paper towel once and the fibers stuck to the boots leaving a mess. For some reason my Elite 10 Kane doesn't have this problem. |

I finished hollowing out the Jakks R3 Tech Kane head and decided to put it on the Wrestlemania 31 series Kane. Everything went fantastic and then all that was left to do was put it on my shelf. Well, so I thought. One of his boots was facing outward a bit too much so I decided to rotate it before I set him on a stand...the boot ripped off along with the peg on the calf... The peg is currently on the inside of his boot. Why are these new figures so damn cheaply made ? This shouldn't be happening to brand new figures straight out of the packaging. Mad because this series never showed up in my local stores aside from 1 Taker I saw. So now I can't do anything about it and Mattel customer service probably can't replace it for me either. Don't care for a voucher when I won't even be able to buy another with it. Ughh just my luck lol.  This figure is on Amazon for retail price. Get a voucher from Mattel. I've got tall boots on the way... I'll see how it looks afterwards. |

If you want to keep the articulation first try and remove the stem from inside the boot. If it is just for display and you don't care about the articulation heat the leg so it is soft and stick a needle/pin with crazy glue on it into the leg where the stem ripped off about halfway up the length of the pin. Then heat the piece of stem inside the boot so it is soft. Put crazy glue on the other half the needle/pin and stick it into the stem inside the boot until the leg and boot are flush. I did this with a DCSH Steele figure's shoulder and upper arm. And it worked fine and kept the arm articulation. I finished up my Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake tonight. I'm thinking about adding some mesh panels or zebra design down the sides. I love think pink pants but I think he might need a little something extra. I also got my hands on a Jakks jacket for him but it turns out that it looks pretty damn awful on him lol.  Did you recast that head into Mattel scale? Looks great. |

PJ Warsman actually cast the head for me. He did the Magnum TA head I posted a few pages back as well. Guy does really good work.

Aren't the skin tones different? Looks about the same to me. I thought they gave the RSC a darker tone. Not quite red hot dog color but I thought it was darker than the dm.. My bad |

PJ I was actually doing a method similar to that last night but instead decided to buy a spare body as knowing its broken even if I fix it will annoy me. I emailed mattel yesterday but they haven't responded. Im wondering that since I've received a handful of vouchers from them in the past they're probably weary of helping me out. Which hey I don't blame them but it's not my fault they're selling faulty product. They were very quick about responding a couple of years ago when I last got a broken figure but now they just dont. Hoping they're just backed up on emails.

Anyone try using DM Hogan's torso for a Flair? Might end up being more accurate than what Mattel has been releasing.
I'm tempted to get another Hogan and make a yellow trunks Flair from Clash of the Champions XXVII.
