So I've been working on this Punk (sanding down his hair.) Now the only thing I'm wondering is, how on earth do you guys get a smooth finish after sanding the hair? I want a really smooth factory finish, is there anything I could do to achieve this?  I'm assuming you're using a Dremel, right? After I sanded down the hair with my Dremel and got the head to basically be the shape I wanted it I went over wherever I sanded with light-grade sandpaper and manually sanded his head in circular motions to give it a smooth and clean finish. |

After sanding down to a level you feel comfortable, use goof off (only on soft plastic) to get a smooth looking finish. Only on soft arms heads and legs, not on the harder plastic crotchs torsos etc |

Yes L5 Macho is in orange. I made a WM5 elite custom of Macho Man using that fig. Acetoned off the stars and used L6 Warrior knee pads, along with a spam cape. Theres a pic of it in my collection pics. Might have to get a purple "Macho Man" decal for the back of the tights from Dean to finish it off though.

it is a good idea for sandow.. i personally would have just cut the fingers apart... revomed a small mortion of it though... and then would have made notches in the mic... that way his hand isnt so beat up looking... but i do like the idea.. and will be doing something similar when his elite hits it's certainly not pretty, but i just wanted to get it done. honestly, the drill didn't even take a full turn to get through the hand and if i had cut his fingers apart first, it would have been better. i got a lucky "break" (separation) right between the middle and ring fingers by accident. as far as notching the mic handle goes, it sounds like a really good idea. how would you do that? do you have a dremel or something? i gotta get me one of those things soon... either way, i can't wait to see yours and others better versions of this. yeah, i would use a dremel.. the cutting wheel ... you would need to be very careful not to cut the mic in half... but im betting it could be done... leave a small piece connecting the mic.... and cut down the fingers with an exacto blade... shave a little bit of the plastic down in the finger area... thats at least my plan |

I want to know what the best boots would be and are they the same skintone and height? i've used basic legs from the knee down on elites, so that's an option. i also think that perhaps Kevin Von Erich might have a similar tone and approximate height needed. Might not be exact, but i'd think it a good place to start. |
