@power of pain 88, If saving $ on this fig is in mind, then I'd stick with the torso as is, since Bully always wears a tank top. But yea if he wanted to go all out I guess he could go duggan torso and then seal the sides of the shirt that wont close with sculpty and remove the brock legs below the knee and substitute with Ryback legs which have a little bit less huge, muscular calves. If you want to save $ maybe you shouldn't be doing customs. If you are going to do them half a$$ what is the point. Thats just how I feel when I am doing customs usually. If I don't have the $ to do it right I usually don't do it.

I do have a spare Cena which would require switching the lower legs from lesnar, I figure I can get away with lesnar since I can cover it with a shirt what do you think? It's your custom do whatever you want with it. If it were me I would go with a volkoff torso or one that size.

TheAxeHennig does all my customs exclusively for me. I guess the point of that is that I have hands down BAR NONE the BEST 1989 roster 54 piece Mattel Elite display. No expense spared.

My WIP Bully ray, let me know what you guys think before I do the acetone gimmick. Too big or just right? Lesnar body, Barrett arms. Dude, that's perfect. What's the total recipe, if you don't mind sharing?

Some people (like me) are doing it to add or complete a certain roster which includes characters or attires that mattel don't produce. Sometimes an ideal part are hard to get, or its out of our budget ($50 moc elites anyone) or simply because we have unused spares lying around, so we try to make do with what we have. And make full use of what we have.. Oh and then there are characters that we feel don't deserve the full treatment. Lol. Anyway, have you started/still selling casted torsos?

What's the total recipe, if you don't mind sharing? I'm pretty sure it's Lesnar for everything except for Barrett arms and RA Bully Ray head. While Ray is not cut like Brock, his upper torso with the shirt is probably the best looking combination out there. Nice job!

WIP Goldberg - nothing you guys haven't seen before. Very nice looks outstanding! My only thing is, and this might just be me, but Goldberg had kinda chicken leg Ankle's. The brock calves are GINORMOUS. You could easily get a more acaccurate Goldberg leg look by adding basic Ryback legs/boots to this fig and MEDIUM black knee pads are crucial to cover the knees you wont lose any movement in the fig it will just hide the fact that the basic legs do not have lower knee articulation. But still either way its a great job bro. Hey thanks for the suggestion and after re-looking at reference pics, I agree that the Brock calves are a little too massive for Goldberg. I'm actually trying to get his WCW-look so old-school knee pads are more accurate than the medium ones, however could SCSA calves work? Because I still want the short wrestling boots as opposed to shoes - or will it make him too tall you think? I've even contemplating using the calves from John Cena attached to short wrestling boots.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but, what about ryback calves? Edit I should have read everything. Anyways yes austin legs should work.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but, what about ryback calves? There's an option. His calves are basically the less defined version of Brock's, and they're a little shorter. I believe SCSA's calves would make him quite a bit taller.

Ok so we make them for the same reason I don't understand the point of pointing that out. Anyways I dont feel it was harsh. If you are happy with what you (anybody) make knowing it could be better then more power to you. I would rather make it right and be proud of what I made. No I am not selling casted torsos. It would not really be much cheaper than buying the figure you want to use. They use alot of plastic and making the molds isn't cheap. Anyways you do a great job sculpting keep up the great work. Also nothing I said in this post or the other one was meant to be rude or upset anyone. I simply was giving my feelings and how I go about doing my customs.

Thanks for the suggestions so far - so without dipping into my pocket to find a cheap SCSA I think i'm going to try to use HBJ calves with Brock boots because I have it available, maybe switch the knee plates for smaller ones and that should take care of his chicken-legs look.

HBJ torso with Austin calves. I was actually thinking about switching the calves to Brock's , like in Bandy's pic. Then I was going to use those Austin calves on BOPPV Axel, since I didn't want to waste another Austin.

There's still some to do's left. Such a big order theAxe and I decided to split it into two waves, So some are still in production. I also need to purchase 5 boxes of the 3 tier stands and I need to go to Ikea to buy my plexi glass display shelf ANNNND (jeez lol) I'm waiting on Jesse Ventura and The Young Stallions jackets to get here from a very popular manufacturer and distributor of such items. I promise it ALL will be posted ASAP ...and it will make 1989 history. *AND I must say that Apoc birthed the Intercontinental champion of this display with an OUTSTANDING torso transfer and recipe for that champion when this whole project was just in it's infantsy.*

I made a 25 piece order for a guy last year, and this one will far exceed that. 1989 was my favorite year in wrestling (as it was my first Wrestlemania). Think of Rude's display as paying homage to the year Hasbros burst onto the scene. He really did his homework on this one.
