If I were to dremel scars into Sabu, how well would it work out? I think it'd be cool if there were actual "cuts" in his skin, but I'm not sure how well it'd work. Well, scars tend to be raised, so it wouldn't be very realistic, but it'd probably look be cool.

You maybe don't even need a dremal, that would make the scar very big depending on which attachment you use... I agree with Ben, scars are raised but if you want to go through with this, just make a few well placed cuts with an exacto blade
It'll come out close to the right size
But better yet , I would try to paint them on

I'll probably go the painting route since I don't have the proper tools to make durable raised scars

Well... Actually maybe you do.... Try heating up a safety pin and while it's hot, lightly press it up against the torso... It should work to make a raised scar but you might want to test it out on a torso you don't care as much for. Also it will make the plastic a lighter color when used so it should create a realistic scar... In theory

You guys keep setting the bar higher and higher. I haven't had much time to do any customizing, but I'm on here regularly checking out this thread. Well, here is something that I just finished recently. The base was entirely one of the first Basic Kanes (not sure which). I had a couple reasons that motivated me to do this Kane custom: 1. The RSC Kane's body was too small and skinny. Kane always had a pretty bulky physique. 2. I didn't like how the belts were painted on. I understand that it might have affected articulation but even Jakks molded the belts. 3. This was probably my favorite evolution of Kane (circa 2002-03) I will add more and better pics this weekend along with a Vampiro that is completed. Stay tuned!

That Benoit and Razor are fantastic. I wish Mattel would release that Triple H attire, but I'm m not a fan of that scan for that era. I use the R3 head (repainted) on mine. But your attire came out much better than mine.

(It was someone on the boards that inspired it.) however, I'm not good at painting skintone, so my R3 head is lighter than the body. What paint did you use to paint yours?the R3 head and the TTL head that was in the 2pack with Cactus are my favorite HHH scans. I wanted to make one with the Mattel skintone. So I used the hair from the basic series 10 (I think thats the series number) and added it to the original Mattel HHH head. My logos turned out ok, but I'm horrible at trying to match a design on one side to the other. Like with the smaller H's , I noticed errors in them as I was finishing them but didnt wanna have to do them again. Lol.

I really like the Benoit. His head is resting a little high, but that's not a deal breaker from a really well done custom!

As for paints it was alot of trial and error of mixing Apple Barrel acrylic paints (Carmel candy, Medium flesh & bright red) to match it the best I could.

@kse, I like that. What head did you use? I recognize it, but it's just not clicking in my head.
