Its amazing how the Red Wings can look so amazing in the first 20 minutes, an then embarassing for the rest of the game. Kudos to San Jose for the win. Wings need to get their act together now.

Ok so...maybe it wasn't that good of a game. Man, Tampa Bay was all over the Pens for the whole game...that was absolutely ridiculous.

**sigh**
Well, that game was practically lost in the first. Showed some signs of life in the third, and pretty much the only highlight was Matt Read.

So it's pretty much a fact that if it's not LA, the Pens need to stay far away from warm weather teams. Haha.

So... Crosbys coming back tomorrow. Can I stop hearing about him everytime I turn on TSN now?

So... Crosbys coming back tomorrow. Can I stop hearing about him everytime I turn on TSN now?Im happy he managed to comeback and everything, and I dont even hate him as much as I normally do. But that will probably change now that he is back, considering the media is going to talk about every little thing he does and it has already gotten old and soon it will become very annoying again. Also, is it really smart to start him against the Islanders? Wings wn last night 4-1, Pav got two goals, so it could be him getting out of his funk. Wings/Ducks shortly. Go Wings!

Sid coming back makes me smile. Sid playing his first game back against the Islanders makes me sad.
People may call me a homer, but if anyone tries to tell me that any team, let alone the Islanders, aren't going to be literally headhunting...well that's ridiculous to think that they won't.

I doubt anyone will actually head-hunt Sid (except maybe Gillies). I mean its hockey, the Islanders arent just gonna skate by give him special treatment because he's Sidney Crosby and he is returning. I doubt Sid will play as much, they will probably wanna ease him back into the lineup. Speaking of special treatment, I hear both Versus and CBC changed their schedule around to show the Islanders/Penguins game? Thats going overboard IMO, I understand showing highlights of his return here and there during the Bruins/Habs game but dropping it entirely? Overboard. If Lidstrom or Ovechkin or anyone else returning from a year long concussion, I doubt the NHL would even mention it to the degree they have with Sid. If Savard ever comes back I doubt he will get the coverage thats happening right now, I doubt Perron would either, and he's been out longer the Sidney has. Just my thoughts on that, and I know it sounds like Im bitter, but you gotta admit thats ridiculous. Red Wings also beat the Ducks 4-2 tonight, after the first was delayed due to an power outage at Honda Center. When we are on, were on. And Howard again was awesome tonight as well, most underrated starter in the league IMO.

Well it's like this. What is going to get more viewers. The Bruins/Habs, or the return of one of the, if not the, faces of the NHL after a year long sidelining making his triumphant return when at one point it was questionable if he'd even be able to come back?
I get why some people dislike him, but if you look at it from the financial standpoint...Crosby's going to win that battle every time. Regardless of the outcome against the Islanders...this game is an absolute gold mine for the NHL.

I can see that lol but if it was the other way around and it was originally Pittsburgh/New York on Versus, and then it was Bruins/Habs, and Savard made his huge return. I highly doubt that the NHL would drop Pittsburgh in favor of Boston. I get that its one of the faces of the NHL returning and everything, but instead of dropping a game you have promoted for the past week, you should just show highlights and updates of the Pens game and how Crosby is doing. Im tired of the favoritism the NHL shows Pittsburgh TV schedule-wise, and its not always Pittsburgh Ill admit. Financiallly or not this is ridiculous. I mean what about the money the NHL lost promoting a game that isnt even gonna be shown now.

I don't know...I hate to call it sour grapes, but your, in my opinion, unwarranted hatred towards the Pens and Crosby himself is ridiculous and it seems to me that it's clouding your judgement. Even if I wasn't a Pens fan, common sense would dictate that the face of the sport returning takes television precedence over any game, even if it's one with the defending Stanley Cup champions. If Ovie or Henrik returned after such a severe injury...especially if they're returning at home against a rival, they'd do the same thing...but I kind of think you wouldn't mind that because it's not the Pens/Crosby. Sorry R...normally I try to stay pretty level with your Pens hate...but this boggles me a bit...haha.

You know why people like Savard or Perron will never get the treatment Crosby does? ? Because they aren't on his level. The guy is the face of the league, biggest $ sign they have and they are gonna milk his return for all they could.

Michalek back in the lineup as well for the Pens. They aren't going to lose for a while

This is Crosby we're talking about. There is a chance he could pull a Lindros.

Can I just say that if one more blogger, and or person compares Crosby's return to the ice....To Lemieux coming back after cancer....
I'm going to vomit. And not just regular vomit, it's going to be uncontrollable vomit.

Sorry R...normally I try to stay pretty level with your Pens hate...but this boggles me a bit...haha. All my hatred boggles your mind lol and its every team tbh, I hate the fact that NBC/Versus covers Detroit as much as they do. Id rather have them cover EVERY team, so people can actually see every player the league has to offer, so its not just Pens hate lol I get what you guys are saying but to promote one game for a week, then drop it in favor of one player who may or may not get 12 minutes of ice time is stupid IMO. And I know alot of people are probably upset that they have to miss a game like Montreal/Boston which is sure to be ten times entertaining then listening to Crosby updates every five minutes about how he is feeling. Like I said, I think the updates durin the Boston/Montreal game would have been good enough. I dont even know why I argue though, you guys arent gonna change my mind and I wont change yours. All I know is there isnt going to be the game on my TV tonight lol. Ill just look for the feed on my computer for the Boston/Montreal game. Hopefully Crosby has a good game and Gillies isnt playing lol

Going to be awesome seeing Sidney Crosby back on the ice. One of my favorite players in the NHL without a doubt. I'm expecting a slow start but within a month or two he'll be good as new.
