I can't wait a few more weeks, I'm going to go see a Blackhawks open practice sometime this week. I plan on doing that next week as well. Detroit can't use the Joe since the auto show is using it, so there going to be at a public rink. |

Sooooo pumped that hockey is back, even if it is a super short season. Has anyone heard any official start up date? I've heard the 15th or possibly the 19th.

I am hoping that it is true that the Pens are opening against the Flyers. I do not think that there can be any better way to open the season with a bloodbath resulting in the head of Sidney Crosby or Claude Giroux being paraded around the arena on a stick and all of that and such. Haha.

my ideal luongo trade,
Booth or Raymond, Luongo and 2nd round for Kadri (i've heard from him personally that he wants out.. yeah.), Gardiner and Scrivens. Maybe fit Bozak in there somewhere.

The media set up their player interviews in a really strange spot. Usually it's off the ice & near the locker rooms away from the fans. But they were only about 20 feet from us. The fans were all respectful & weren't hollering & being annoying during the interviews. It was nice because we got to hear Jonathan Toews bash the owners in the most classy way. |

She even got to stan with the media while they were asking questions lol. Though don't think any of the bigger stars were there. On a happy note, I finally got my Christmas present from my parents. Which is a Gustav Nyquist Red Wings jersey! Figured I would get his jersey now before he becomes a star for Detroit. Did the same thing with Datsyuk, got his jersey in 2003 for Christmas after his rookie year. I'm very happy it came before the season started.  |
