Getting this day started, we've got a few short news briefs that begin with Milla Jovovich confirming that Kevin Durand - off the heels of Real Steel - will be playing "Barry Burton" in Paul W.S. Anderson's Resident Evil: Retribution. Burton was a member of the Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) and the backup man. Umbrella gets back to work September 14, 2012. -bloodydisgusting From RE1 on playstation 1 Kevin Durand as Keamy I really cant wait for this film, i want to find out why theyre bringing old characters back from the movies like rain, and bringing Barry Burton into the movie series

I heard Michelle Rodriguez is in the movie too. I thought her character died in the first one.

3 and 4 were AWFUL movies. I wish they would stop. I didn't know a 5th was even in development until I read a story yesterday about a bunch of zombies getting hurt in an accident while filming.
At this point, why not. Bring everyone back for a family reunion. Have a big ol' block party. Maybe they can get Uwe Bol to write, produce or co-direct. Because that is how far the RE movies have fallen.
However, I do hope Barry gets to use the line "Jill Sandwich" at some point.

I loved RE4, it was probably my favourite of the movie series, but saying that i did go into it expecting it to be extinction kind of poop. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ada Wong's in too
illa Jovovich, who returns as Alice once again, reveals via Twitter that Chinese actress Li Bingbing (The Forbidden Kingdom) has landed the role of "Ada Wong" in the now-filming Resident Evil: Retribution.
Ada is a cunning and formidable secret agent for the mysterious and powerful group known as "Organization".
She joins Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Michelle Rodriguez, Johann Urb, Oded Fehr and Kevin Durand in Sony Screen Gems' fifth Resident Evil film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson from his own screenplay.
In theaters September 14, 2012, Urb plays the leader of the Resistance, who teams with Jovovich's Alice character as she battles the Umbrella Corporation and the swarm of undead. The group will head to Russia, Japan and Toronto for the shoot.
*Update: An early-morning stage collapse Tuesday on the Toronto set has sent ten crew members and actors to the hospital, says THR. 16 people were injured after a group shifted weight from one platform no another. The Toronto Star newspaper reported that a dozen actors dressed as zombies had been moving across the soundstage platform when it collapsed. None of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

Yeah I lost hope in Resident Evil altogether. Anderson should go back to film school. I'm sick of seeing him put over his wife like John Cena in all of his movies.

I heard Michelle Rodriguez is in the movie too. I thought her character died in the first one. She was shot in the head at the end of the first. How are they gonna explain Oded Fehr's return when his character was blown up.

Oh great now Barry's name is going to get dragged through this mess. I honestly have no idea why people keep letting Paul Anderson s**t on the RE name.

Love this film series. Very different from the game, but after the 2nd film, I've come to see this as a separate entity and more of a re-imaging. LOVE THIS STUFF! Can't wait! What's the release date?

I loved all the movies. You didn't, and that's fine but you made it seem as though my opinion was invalid and because it was not the same as yours.
