if times are as tough as you say they are.. cut the TV. cable TV costs minimum like $50 a month and is usually more in the range of $100-$200 a month. Get a Roku box, or Netflix.. you'll be much better off..

hang in their brother.. i've been at rock bottom before.. there is nothing more STUPID then spending retail price or let alone internet price on a TOY when you have no FOOD to eat...
i love my legends on display, but there was a time in my life where i had no choice but to sell my collection..
i grew up playing with hasbros, had every1 open.. then i collected BCA's had two of each, 1 to play with one to display moc on my wall.. by the time ttl came around i had every BCA MOC literally.. every1.. HUNDRDS... in 2005 i needed money to ..lets just say "save my life".. i had the owner of a local card collector shop come over to look at my bca collection.. he never messed with WWF stuff, but he knew he was lookin at a deal for a steal cause i needed cash within 2 days couldnt wait .. so he gave me $500 bucks for Every BCA MOC and a tub of every hasbro loose (played with)...
i regret that deal each day i think about it,... but without question i did what i had to do to make it... i never bought a jakks classic cause once i saw series one bret i was disgusted with the mistakes and weirdness!!....
i only have a few mattel figures of my childhood heroes on display on my desk at work... it reminds me of the good old days... and you my friend.. years down the road you will have that too.. for now just focus on HARD WORK... stay motivated my friend..

Things may not need to be done we have an advocate helping us so we'll see what happens and if that doesn't work out we have another plan I forgot about but thanks for all the support and advice. I think I'll hold onto the majority of my collection and just sell off a few pieces that might draw some interest. I may put a classified up tomorrow

Sorry to hear of your family's hard time. A lot of people are going through similiar times, some not so bad, some worse. Family first. I truly hope things become better with each day.
As many have already said, hold off on selling your collection for as long as possible. Things could turn around any day. COllecting is about having fun and enjoying the hunt. You don't need to be the first person to own every figure. But take some tie away from collecting and concentrate on your family and yourself.

Think it over before you sell your collection, George.
Collectors of all kinds have memories and sentiment tied to their collections. If circumstances change, you might regret parting with something that consumed so much passion on your part.
Also, you might have kids who will learn to like wrestling from you. Then it's possible that you will wish you had your collection to pass down to them.
Either way, I wish you well.

Take some time away from collecting. When I was around the same age I stopped collecting for 4 years (from TTL series 2 to Classic 7). Other things come up in life that are more important. Maybe one day you'll find yourself wanting to collect again. WF will still be here. Hope everything works out for you with your family/life situation. I agree. I took a two year break from collecting awhile ago. Maybe you'll come back to it over time. Best of luck with your situation though!
