Who else dislikes all the pink on the players uniforms/shoes/hats? I think it is distracting aside from it being a color I dont like seeing on the foot ball field.

I don't like how it's a marketing ploy. A month is a bit much, they should do 1 week. Also show more cheerleaders.

It's support for Breast Cancer Awareness. It's one month out of the year, it's to support the move to eliminate a form of cancer. There is not one thing wrong with it....

The only reason I don't like it is that due to certain familial situations, I am surrounded by the breast cancer cause on a daily basis. Having lost more family to lung cancer than to breast cancer (on a 5 to 0 rate, respectively), I hate that Breast Cancer is the "in" cancer.

I don't have a problem with it, but an entire month seems a bit excessive.
Being football, I don't understand why they aren't promoting prostate cancer awareness instead.

I'd be down with two months of Breast Cancer Awareness if it meant no more "Vintage" jersey games.

I think a week or 2 is more then enough, also i hate it being called breast cancer awareness. There are tons more cancers out thee that should be mainstream publicized about awareness. I wish they would call it cancer awareness instead.

October was chosen as Breast Cancer Awareness month. It's not like the NFL is the only organization to wear pink in support. Everywhere does something. NASCAR supports it. Kyle Busch had a pink M&M's #18 car just a couple years ago.

Yeah this is a strange thread, why would anyone care that the NFL is promoting breast cancer for a full month?
Frankly, they should promote it, and a lot of other causes, every single day. As should all the sports

I think trying to help breast cancer treatment is a great cause. BUT do we really need the pink? It is so distracting and doesnt match the already existing color combos of the uniforms. Is not supporting it financially, maybe mentioning it on the air, commercials... enough?

It only bothers be because its breast cancer. Why not colon cancer? Prostate cancer? testicular cancer? I really think they should choose a month (maybe even october) and let it be a Cancer awareness month.
The only thing that just really bugs me is Ive yet to be able to figure out how to get the dang pink cleats turned on on madden when I play in October LOL.

I'm still playing '11, and they've been on for me all month.

Because, again, this was chosen by BCA charities to be in October. It's not like there was a vote, and Breast Cancer won, and no one cares about other forms. Again, how people find this to be an issue, when there are only 2 days a week with games through the 4 weeks in October, how this is an issue is beyond me.
