Bush keeps the war going.. Gets re-elected.. Obama brings the troops home.. Gets re-elected.. LoL @ that concept when Obama has sent a shitload more people overseas to fight OTHER unnecessary wars.

No one has answed my question yet. Was this not the policy put in place by George W Bush before he left office? I remember him giving a speach where he said the plan was to have troops withdrawed by the end of 2011. So my next question would be, if this we're the case, why is Obama trying to take credit for something when he's just meerly sticking to the plan?

Bush had campaigned in 2000 on the platform of "no nation building", yet invaded and overthrew two countries. Why? I think it's because he was looking for approval points and needed an easy target like Iraq. Obama campaigned on getting us out of these wars, yet escalated the war in Afghanistan as well as started another one in Libya and sending more troops into Africa. For Obama, well it's almost time for election and half of the voters don't want us in these wars...

That was when we agreed with the Iraqis to stay until the end of 2011. If something happens during ones Presidency they usually take credit for it if it's good. If it's bad, blame it on the last guy.
