Jericho easy. He's had a career much longer than Goldberg, and is smart enough to know to evolve his character. Then you have Goldberg, who was pissed at his WWE run, because they didn't want to use him as the one dimensional wrecking machine he was in WCW.

The IWC loves Jericho, and while he is a great all around talent, the fact is that he has spent most of his time in the mid-card. If I was gonna pick a guy to watch in the ring or on the mic, I'd take Jericho hands down. But this is about the better career, and while it was much, much shorter, Goldberg's was better. He was a huge draw during the attitude era, and probably only behind Austin, Rock, and the nWo during the time.
The guy came in, went on that incredible winning streak, and defeat Hollywood Hogan for the World title in a memorable title win. While not much happened after that in his WCW career, he was still WCW's biggest draw, and when he came to the WWE, it was a big deal, and all of his feuds were w/ top talents, including Jericho. He defeated Rocky clean in the ring, ended Hunter's 9 month reign of terror, and then defeated Lesnar in a super hyped, but huge letdown, match.
Jericho, on the other hand, was never a top draw. While he is great in the ring and on the mic, he's spent most of his career in the mid card. When he was given the Undisputed title and a run in the main event, he bombed. While I do blame the writters more than Jericho for his crappy run, the fact of the matter is that he wasn't drawing, and he spent most of 2002 through 2007 in the mid card(except for a short feud w/ Cena in 2005). In 2008, he was given a few world title runs mainly because Raw was lacking in main event heels at the time. Same in 2010.
Y2J is one of my favorites, and I'd pick him over Goldberg anyday to give a promo or a 5 star match, but career wise, Goldberg has this.

Goldberg had a hell of a hot streak but Jericho has become a trend setter and has accomplished more than Goldberg ever could have.

Yes, he defeated Triple H, but that was after he had to job to him on SummerSlam. After that, even though he was still over, he just wasn't the same. |

Jericho without question
I don't think you can really compare Goldberg's 4 year career to Jericho's 20+ years. Goldberg may have been at or near the top of the card his entire career, but again, it was only 4 years! Jericho has been with the WWE off and on since 1999 and has been a main eventer almost the entire time. I guess it all boils down to how you compare them. In my opinion, Goldberg was nothing more than a flash in the pan who would have never made it big anywhere other than WCW.

What? From 1999-2001, he was a mid-carder. He was given a three month reign w/ the Undisputed title that bombed in early 2002, and then went right back to the mid-card. From 2002-2008, he was a mid-carder except for a 2 month feud w/ Cena in 2005. Even when he was given a few world title reigns in 2008, it was more because of a lack of main event heels on Raw, and he quickly jobbed to Batista and Cena, and went right back to the mid-card. Jericho has spent about 90% of his WWE career in the mid-card. Jericho himself has even said that he was never a big draw, and that he never made a big impact on TV ratings.

Then you obviously equate the persons career based on how long their main event run's were. In which case the following people shouldn't be considered one's who had a good career Mr Perfect Savage Scott Hall JBL Eddie Benoit I could continue. I'm not trying to flame you or start a fight, the logic of someone's place on the card, making their career just isn't logical to me. I agree with whoever it was that said Goldberg was a flash in the pan |

But cordless, by your logic, Goldberg was also in the "midcard" for over half his WCW run. During his streak, he was being fed Jerry Lynn, Meng and the Disco Inferno for the better part of a year. Sure the streak was cool, but Goldberg faced, for most of that, jobbers and lower midcarders to pad his wins.
Also, just trying to follow your argument, would the Ultimate Warrior be deemed to have a better wrestling career than Bret Hart, because Warrior CLEARLY outdrew Bret Hart and had a bigger feud??? Just curious

also, i'm not trying to flame cordless or anyone who said Goldberg, just getting a discussion going.
Another point that I forgot was that while Goldberg had some nice feuds and a nice streak, he probably didn't draw nearly as much as you'd think. His biggest match, by far, was against Hogan. However, it didn't draw money, it was a match on WCW Nitro. A properly done feud would have drawn millions of dollars, but Bishoff stupidly went for a Nitro win vs. Raw. Also, his other matches, especially during the streak, didn't draw crap. They were squash matches, and most people, such as myself, switched back to Raw when he was done wrestling.
Also, in regards to merchandise, his stuff didn't fly off the shelves. While he was supposed to be the top draw in WCW, nWo merch (black and white, and red and black) was still the top draw.
