High-brow entertainment if there ever was awaits us tonight, I'm sure
Not every day are you promised The Muppets, The Rock and Michael Cole vs. JR on the same show, even if the last one feels like it's happened every Monday for the past year. Three editions of RAW remain until the 25th annual Survivor Series, or as WWE would say, "25th Anniversary of Survivor Series". What will happen on the first Halloween-day edition of RAW since 2005? Hijinks? Chicanery? Some dare I say, Halloween Havoc?
Before RAW is live and on the air from the ATL for the second time this year, to understand why that Hollywood ac-tore will be drenched with water in his house at the start of RAW, you need to go back to last week's episode. After nearly overcoming the always surmountable odds against Awesome Truth, Cena laid in the ring injured after winning the match by DQ. The EVP of TR and GM to RAW John Laurinaitis called off the dogs after releasing them on Cena. Cena was told he could pick anyone to be his partner at SSeries in a match against @mikethemiz and @ronkillings, and so excited he couldn't contain bodily fluids, he chose The Rock! What a shock! Will Rock accept the offer to wrestle at the PPV he's been advertised to wrestle at alongside Cena for two months in front of some nice replica belts?
Elsewhere, John "Rosa, I'm sure we can work something out" Laurinaitius announced on .com over the weekend that CM Punk would have to defeat World Champion Mark Henry to earn a WWE Championship match against Berdo Del Rio at Survivor Series. Punk refused to respect Funk-man for all his accomplishments in a serious tone or one that Ace liked, so Punk now finds himself going against the man who hasn't been pinned since at least the WWE Draft in late April of this year. How will the former WWE Champion defeat his monster mash of an opponent? What role will Del Rio, Ricardo Rodriguez and Ace have in this match?
After a year of berating WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, Michael Cole's nightmare came true in August 2011 when Ross was back on RAW commentary full-time. However, the nightmare ended two months later when Ross was fired for being an "ingrate" according to the Interim RAW GM. Cole's smile went away once again a week later when Ross was brought back by the same man who fired him in Oklahoma a week earlier, but not to commentate, to wrestle Cole in a tag team match. When JR seemed gone forever again, Cole decided he was tired of JR tweeting rude remarks to him and challenged JR to the first-ever Michael Cole Challenge. No one, maybe not even Michael Cole knows what the MCC has in store for the devoted OU fan, but the stakes were announced by Cole last week. If JR wins, Cole concedes his chair on Monday nights to Ross for a second time. If Cole wins, JR must deal with the embarrassment and pain that competing int he MCC brought him, the same feelings he had after wearing that Sailor's Suit for Halloween in 2008. Who will win and come out on top in this feud?
Randy Orton continues on a post-HIAC hot streak, coming into Monday's RAW a week after defeating IC Champion Cody Rhodes and Christian alongside Sheamus last week on RAW SuperShow. Then on SmackDown Friday, Orton managed to down the United States Champion Dolph Ziggler #TWEENER, #LMTAO. Will the European or Hardcore Championship be reinstated this week so Orton can go over that Title's holder? Sheamus, also on a hot streak continues his exhilarating feud with Christian with the two getting all up in each others biz-nish last Friday on SD. What's next for WWE's favorite mid-card feud? Alicia Fox scored an upset win over Natalya Neidhart, who's father main evented the first Halloween-day RAW in 1994. Karma for the person who first relays the info Google or YouTube gives them stating who Jim Neidhart's opponent was that night. While Nattie did lose, wouldn't you have lost your bearings after hearing Alicia's theme? Triple H is out for six-eight weeks with a concussion and fractured vertebrae after Kevin Nash crushed the game with a sledgehammer. Will Kevin Nash be in Atlanta where he did a few things a few years ago, or is Nash's work done now that HHH seemingly is as well?
