This disappoints me. Johnson is one of my favorite fighters man. It sucks that even if he wins, there probably won't be any title implications involved.

Extremely unprofessional and he deserves to be fired. How can you go UP in weight, and STILL not make weight. And it's not like he was 186.6 & couldn't cut anymore. He was 12 pounds over. I do not care. There is NO EXCUSE for that. He had all the time in the world to lose the weight & he didn't. Its his job to make weight & fight, and he failed to do that AGAIN. He's made a habit of doing this. In life if you  up like this at your job, you'll get fired. And now he'll have a big advantage over Vitor in size. Because that's totally fair. I hope Vitor knocks his head off and he gets his walking papers. Disgusted by is unprofessional actions. him. If he's somehow allowed to stick around, fight at 205 & get this crap over with. You can't cut the weight & I'm tired of the "Anthony Johnson misses weight again" Headlines. |

Yeah - to miss weight by 12 POUNDS is just unbelievable. I don't think he'll be cut, but I'd be surprised if he wasn't suspended or heavily fined...

I just watched the weigh-in video and could not believe "Rumble" missed weight by 12 pounds. That's just inexcusable. As it was mentioned above, to go UP in weight and still not make it, is just a flat-out joke. I'll be honest, I WAS pulling for Johnson in this one, but not now. I hope Belfort takes him out and takes him out early.
This was supposed to be Johnson's debut at Middleweight....Ha, so much for that. I'm sure he even knew he wasn't going to make it. He must've. To miss weight by 12 pounds, man, is just disrespectful to everyone, to his trainers and teammates, his opponent Vitor Belfort, Dana White and the UFC, and himself.
So, I take it, this fight is now a Light-Heavyweight bout, since he's too damn big for Middleweight. I will LAUGH my ass off if Johnson gets on the scale today and he's 206 or more. That will be insane and I seriously wouldn't be surprised if it does happen.

Just read on UFC's Twitter that "Rumble" Johnson weighed in at 204.2 pounds. So, the fight with Belfort is on tonight!!!

Apparently Rumble was able to get down to within a few pounds of the Middleweight limit, however he was forced by a doctor to re-hydrate because he was starting to experience problems, hence why he had ballooned back up to 197 by the weigh-in.
Not trying to make excuses though, because missing weight, no matter the circumstances, is inexcusable, and with how many times Rumble has done it, he needs cut.

of course, right as i said that, alcantara gassed out in the 3rd... even though when he was standing, he was still winning the round. still, it was a pretty convincing win.

Holy crap. Silva won that. Yamasaki just ruined his 10 fight win streak. He lost tonight, but he gained the recognition from Dana White(on twitter) at least. I look forward to Silva in the future.
