Yeah I was like 10-11 throughout Diesel's run and he and HBK were my favorite guys on the roster. I actually don't remember caring at all about Bret during that time. I feel like Bret peaked in 94 for me as a fan. 95 was Nash's year and by the time Nash was done it was sort of Shawn's time to shine.
I agree Nash's run was weird. Destroying Backlund in a match nobody saw, beating Mable with a flying closeline from the turnbuckle, and right down to losing the title with the whole Foundation involved. Just weird. Either way, I loved it. Diesel gloves, Two Dudes t-shirt, Diesel was a great champion in my 10 year old mind...
I love Warrior and Diesel, despite both their limitations, but I think Warrior was given far less of a chance to shine than Nash. Warrior was dealing with Hulkamania and he didn't really stand a chance. Mix that with his inability to really have longer than 2 minute matches and his crazy antics and he just never gave himself a fair shake imo.
