man I salivate at the thoughts of Pillman being around in 98 when Austin was champ. how would they have used him? Well after the whole "bookerman" thing and the "gun incident" He would have been what CM Punk is now but in 98. So I ask you this question if they did push him like that would anyone really care about CM Punk now? I am a CM Punk fan from MAW-WWE and really love what they are doing right now but would it get over as well if they would have let Pillman run with it?

I often thought he would have been the guy Vinnie used against Austin similar to Foley but man it would have been way better.

Do you guys remember an episode of RAW during the Hart Foundation era in 1997 where Brian Pillman prayed the entire show and the Hart Foundation won all their matches?
I can't seem to find it on Youtube but I remember watching that as a kid and instantly became a Pillman fan.

Singles heel Rick Martel. That was a great gimmick for the time and not talked about much.
Jerry Lynn. Underrated talent for sure.
Heel Kona Crush. I liked his feud with Savage but other then that was not used for much.
The Mountie. I like Jacques Rougeau I think this was a underrated gimmick he had. He wrestled Piper,Hart,Bossman and won the IC title. But it seems like it did not matter.
Tracy Smothers. Underrated Talent

Thats it!!! Well...part of it anyway!
Thanks! +1
I remember there was a little bit more. Maybe it was the next week or something. I remember Pillman praying and one of the Hart Foundation members winning a big match (I thought it was Owen vs. Rocky) and the show ending with Pillman's psychotic face post-prayer.

i would certainly hope they gave Pillman a program with Austin for the title.... How good would that have been though? Both Pillman and Austin were limited due to injuries, don't forget that.

They had a match on RAW in the summer of 1997 and it was actually really good. It's on the Brian Pillman DVD. Between both of their mic skills and history together the feud not only would have been fun to watch but the matches would have been fine as well I think. Austin could still go (even after Summerslam '97) and if Pillman was motivated enough I think he could have pulled something out of his hat. It wouldn't have been a masterpiece but it probably would have been acceptable.

the promo's alone would've been worth it,the history between them, from the WCW days to Austin's betrayal of him in 1996 to the gun incident to Pillman's alliance with the Hart's....
