This is a cool idea that was brought up on more than one occasion, so I decided to look into it and it actually looks like a lot of fun! Between holidays and school schedules, things may become slow around here for new shows but perhaps a quick match here and there is do-able. This could be a fun thing to do before we head into Figamania!
This should be something that's open to everybody: Pic Fedders, Animators, Lurkers, etc. Yes, that's right...You don't have to have an active show to join in, just the desire to put together a quick pic-fed style match! This could be a nice opportunity for a beginner who's curious about starting their own show or a collector who just wants to show off their B13 Ezekiel Jackson figure (I'm on back-Order, aaarggh!) or if you're a long-time lurker and just feel like participating to avoid those awkward Thanksgiving family reunions!
So how does it work?
It's a simple setup, actually. You choose your opponent, a fellow member, here and issue a challenge. The challenge is a based on the type of special stipulation you want to do. You both then have a certain amount of time to film and turn in a match that meets the criteria of the stipulation. I'd say about a week or so.
What qualifies as a match? Ok, to be clear, the match must be shot in picture format and be at least 20 pictures long. (Let's keep it simple) All you need are at least two wrestling figures, a space to work with, and a camera! I'd like to encourage new participants, so it's ok if you don't have a ring or arena to work with.
What are the match stipulations? Remember, you must specify the type of stipulation that you want in your challenge. Here are some suggestions:
If anyone has other stipulation ideas, feel free to suggest them here!
How do you win your match? Well, we can either do votes by reply or do a poll system to decide who put on the better match. When you look at a match keep in mind...
1. Basics: Does it match the criteria of the stipulations?
2. Posing: Does it look like a slobberknocker or like two zombies playing rock-paper-scissors?
3. Pic Quality: Are the pics sharp and clear or do things look as out of focus as Jeff Hardy at Victory Road?
4. Presentation: I know I said an elaborate set isn't as important but if someone took the time to do something special, it's ok to give them a bit of credit. The top 3 things should take precedence, though.
You don't have to write about all this in your replies, these are just things to think about when you watch the matches. Of course, the more constructive feedback you can give to a member, the better. We always want to improve!
Well, think of all this as the basic groundwork. Feel free to chime in and throw in any ideas or suggestions to improve on this. If things look promising enough and people are interested in this, we can revive our own H2H division here!

- One-on-One: Film a traditional wrestling match, good for beginners!
- Hardcore: Film a match where a weapon is used!
- Table: Film a match where a table is used!
- Ladder: Film a match where a ladder is used!
- Chair: Film a match where a chair is used!
- TLC: Yeah, you knew that one was coming next...Film a TLC match!
- Triple Threat: Up the ante with an extra wrestler, film a triple threat match!
- Tag Team: Partner up your wrestlers, film a tag team match!
- Open Mic: Just film a promo of at least 7 pics, easy as pie...AND THE ROCK LOVES PIE!!
- All Holds Barred: Freestyle, just film any type of match that you want!
- Joker's Wild: Don't have enough wrestling figures? No problem, bring in something different, like Buzz Lightyear, King Leonidas, or the Martian Manhunter! Film a match with at least one non-wrestling character!
- Cage: For the hardcore collector that loves playsets, film any type of cage match!
- Duchess of Queensbury: The Billion Dollar Princess will pick the special stipulation for your match! Not for the weak of heart, Steph can be a harsh mistress!
- Backstage Brawl: Film a match that either starts backstage or spills over to the backstage area!
- Pick Your Poison: Your H2H partner chooses an aspect of your match, either picking a wrestler to be featured or a stipulation! Just don't make someone buy a Colossal Crashdown Arena for no good reason, heheh!
- Beat the Clock: Film a match within a quick time limit, say like 72 hours! It doesn't have to be pretty, it can have unfinished speech balloons or unedited string, just put your skills to the speed test!
