I live in KS. According to Google, there is a .67% chance that we will have an earthquake over 5.0 in the next 50 years. In the last three days, we've had two minor earthquakes. Nothing major, just enough to shake my whole house for a minute or so. Apparently they're aftershocks from a 5.6 earthquake that happened in the OKC area. I'm getting a little tired of it. It's bad enough I live in tornado alley. I'm gonna have to deal with earthquakes too?

We had an earthquake in PA back in September, it felt kinda weird to be honest. Sucked too, I was on the top floor of the oldest building on campus.

Yeah it's a bit scary to know that Earthquakes are happening in places other than the west coast. I hope it all stops soon.

Welcome to California where we get earthquakes a lot. What would you do if you were here?

Apparently where I live sits on a pretty big fault line that's been quiet for a long time. It's only a matter of time before we get one.
My guess is Nov. 9th.

Welcome to California where we get earthquakes a lot. What would you do if you were here? There I would expect it. Would like to start getting tornadoes all the time?

I just think natural disasters need to say in their own little geographic areas. Earthquakes need to screw with the people out west. That's their turf. If you live in San Francisco, it's to be expected. Tornadoes need to stay in the mid-west. It's where they belong. Hurricanes can live in the east/southeast and tear up jack over there. It's when things start getting screwed up that it bugs me. There should not be any earthquakes in the midwest. Nor should there be any tornadoes on the west coast.

Just be glad the Yellowstone caldera hasn't erupted. Until that day, be fine things are happening.
Also tornadoes happen in lots of places, we get them in Montana. Denver's airport has 'Tornado Shelter' signs outside of every bathroom. They're just more common for people who live in tornado alley, which I still don't get who willingly lives in an area with that name. Earthquakes, yeah. They can happen literally anywhere now with how much the plates seem to be shifting. Hell we get earthquakes often in Montana. Never really bother me.

We get warnings about tornadoes. You live here a couple of years and you can just stare at the sky and tell whether there's going to be a tornado or not. It never surprises you and you can prepare hours in advance at the very least. Earthquakes have no warning. You're minding your own business one minute and the next minute your house is laying on top of you and midgets are singing about how happy they are that you're dead. Or was that a tornado?
