Finally after a lot of work, the first episode of GWF ShowDown is live! My federation is called the Global Wrestling Federation and while there are some nods to the classic GWF of old, this is not supposed to be that fed or a rehash of any other old fed. Instead, imagine Global as existing in a magical time when every wrestler is alive, everyone is always in their prime and guys from the 80's through today can interact and it not be out of place. In the first episode, we'll see... - Promos from several superstars!
- Four big matches!
- The start of the World Title Tournamet!
- The start of the Tag Title Tournament!
- And in the main event: Raven versus Tommy Dreamer... Raven's Rules!
Feel free to leave feedback and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to actually read the show. I tried to put an emphasis on making sure both the pictures and the words were important. Enjoy! |

Damn, a debuting Fed, this should be good! Lol, I have a smack down themed ring just like that one, just waiting to be used in my fed. Neat. I like how hardcore rings have made a comeback into pic fedding lately, after being shun by the RSRs. Plus, I like how you turned Smackdown into Showdown! Kane versus Homicide, interesting combination. That first shot of Kane hurling him off the ring looks like he’s flying 30, maybe 40 feet into the distance! I liked it, btw. You are kicking off your show in a great way, and the tournament is a good way to introduce your key players (and jobbers, lol). Whoa, who is the Patriot? That figure/custom looks cool! You got naked chicks in that arena, man? Many in the crowd are just looking the other way! Lol, no worries, I just found it funny, not like it’s too big a deal. Your second match was as solid as the first! The Patriot wins the third match, cool! Already my favorite character in your Fed. Ouch, I see some ringposts suffering intense tension in your last match. I hurt when I see hardcore ring posts hurt! Superkick, wow! Love the shot of Raven dragging Dreamer by the scalp. Liked the effect of the open door with a glimpse at what’s on the other side. Raven won! Great match! Great show! Great debut!  |

I love it, presentation, the Raven promo, the general feel of it. Heck it even has the Blue Bloods. Not much else to say, it's a fantastic start. The matches are good, the commentary fits, it has a nice feel to it. I like it.

Izzy: Glad you liked the format and enjoyed the matches. And you already got a favorite so I must be doing something right, haha. Yeah it looks like the Hardcore ring is king. I'll tell the Patriot that you're a fan! Glad you liked the main event and a couple of the big spots there. Put in some work to make sure that looked good, so glad to see it paid off.
CrissXFire: Thanks for the kind words. I was hoping I would nail those certain aspects, so it's good to hear that they succeeded. Hopefully things will just get better from here on.

A new fed. Super.
A nice simple arena. Good type of fed coming I think.
Nice opening match. Sometimes I did not know what was going on. Still nice posing and good quality pics.
The Raven promo was sick. It was actually really good. Loved it. excited to see where that goes.
Nice interview with the Patriot.
Nice 2nd match. Nice bit of controversary at the end. Some good posing. Enjoyed the match.
3rd match. Sometime the pic qaulity kind of changed. like it went a different. Some good posing. Some could have been better. The match was good. Flowed well.
Bobby "The Brain" Heenan: Well he doesn't deal with erectile dysfunction like you, Scott!

WoW, great job. I didn't get into wrestling til about 2000, so I'm not familiar with most of your roster, but I really like how different it feels with the older wrestlers.
Your pics were really good; even though I didn't read all the dialog, I was still able to follow the story in the matches, which is really good.
My fav scene was in the Raven-Dreamer match when the door was open and you could see backstage. It's little details like that that can make your fed stand out.
I can't wait til the next episode comes out, when do you think that will be?

Regan: Appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed the commentary. Also glad you liked the Raven promo. Really wanted to capture the feel of the character. I tried some different lighting, which is why some of the pics ended up a little different looking. I didn't like it and scraped it, but what was done was done. Glad you liked the main event, going to be some more interesting stuff in the future, I promise.
derekbrazen: Really appreciate the feedback man. Always cool to see some new feedback. I didn't realize that the show was so loaded with older guys until you pointed it out. Don't worry, there's plenty of modern guys to come as well. GWF has a huge mix of all eras, just was a little older front loaded this first show out. Glad you liked the door picture, I was pretty proud of that one and I like to add in little details that put things just a little over the top.
Next episode should be soon, hopefully before the end of the month. I already have a lot of good stuff planned for the next several episodes and it's only going to get better from here.

Mo: Thanks bro, means a lot. I'm glad you're digging it. I tried to do some stand out stuff, but not just to be different, but to have stuff that I enjoyed in there. Lots of stuff going on and I think I got some stuff on the next show you in particular will enjoy. Thanks again!

Damn ive been working on a fed called GWF:Nitro got a GWF ring skirt and everything lol oh well great minds think alike, and this was definatly a great show, The matches and everything were great the Raven promo was awesome loved the upclose shot of his face aside from the fact that some moves could have used an extra picture this was a great debut 9/10

Tyler Black Fan: Sorry about that one man, I actually had a pretty big fear someone was going to jump the name before I got my first show out. I've had this in the works for months and was certain one day I'd come on here and it'd be used, but I lucked out. Appreciate the positive feedback and glad you liked the Raven promo. I definitely hope to use the character to the best of my ability.

Good promos, editing, and way of putting it together. But the poses were pretty stiff. I would work on loosing them up, big time.

Save_us: Appreciate the feedback. I think the poses are pretty good for a most part, but there were a few spots in particular that did look clunky in the finished product, especially in one match. Unfortunately, sometimes I was intending for their to be some stiffness in some respects (not that I wanted the figures to look stiff, but the poses themselves) but then it results in looking like the figures are stiff and not posed right. Anywho, it's something I'll keep an eye out for in the future. Learning process and all that. Second show will likely be a lot more fluid. I had to do some reshoots on this one and it complicated doing any fixups to those stiff poses. Cheers!

- Before I get started, I just want to say that those are awesome graphics.
- Nice introduction by Scott Hudson & The Brain.
- Kane's in the first match. What a monster. Just a tip: You should move the figures in the audience's head towards the ring so it does not look like their watching just the stage or the announcers.
- Homicide to be the opponent is defiantly original, I have never seen this before. I like the comment that Hennan said that Homicide stole his wallet.
- Kane throwing Homicide that far out of the ring was insane.
- And Kane wins the squash. Nice opening contest, it defiantly starts a push for Kane.
- A like the Raven promo. It captures his gimmick.
- A like The Patriot. I hope he wins tonight.
- Those Blue Bloods and their cheating ways. They should be ashamed of thereselves by winning that way.
- Nice customs by the way.
- Really exciting match between Martel and Patrioit. Great back and forth action with a unpredictable outcome.
- I hope Jerry Lawler gets his teeth knocked in.
- Some good hardcore action from Raven & Dreamer. Lots of blood in there.
Overall: I think this is going to be a great fed here on the Pic Fed boards.

I bought a TNA Raven off eBay just because of this fed. Great start man, very crisp and everything flows well. I wish I had the time to do something like this.  |

Progwd: Really appreciate the thorough feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed the domination by Kane, and I have adjusted the audience's attention, haha, for future shows. It didn't really occur to me at the time, as I just had everyone facing the railing, but they probably should have been focused on the ring!
Glad you enjoyed all the characters and liked the Martel/Patriot match, I worked hard on that one. I would have loved to see those two go back in the day. You may get your wish with Lawler on show 2, you'll just have to tune in to see! I hope to make this a fed you keep coming back to read. Thanks again man!
PhoeniX™: Thanks man, that's about as high of praise as one can ask for I think. I really tried to capture the Raven character not just in his match, but in the promo and style. I think this is a very underrated figure! Glad you enjoyed!
