so Savage won the 80s and Hennig won the 90s early 00s.
so whos the greatest IC Champ of all time?
my vote goes to Mr Perfect.he had 2 great reigns with top notch opponents at the time.

Randy Savage for sure! The guy held the belt for over a year, defended it at two Wrestlemania's in a row, and had great matches with the likes of Tito Santana and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, an interesting feud with George "The Animal" Steele and amazing battles with the Champion at the time, Hulk Hogan. So Savage gets my vote!

Mr. Perfect!
Savage was good,but his reign was basically dominated by 2 feud's - George Steele and Ricky Steamboat...
Perfect was in many different programs during his reigns- Kerry Von Erich,Big Boss Man, Bret Hart, Tito Santana,Brutus Beefcake....

Having just seen some of the great promos Savage did when IC champion (on his DVD) I'd almost change my vote but as above said when you hear IC title you think Mr. Perfect.

He was a fantastic IC Champ Shame it never got better than that for him as his whole package during that time was perfect, his wrestling, mic skills, persona and the fact he had Heenan in his corner made him a top heel that you couldn't help but like. |
