cool finds on the elites, but the open carding is sad.

Why are wresting fans such cheap thieves? Kids don't have jobs($). Also, we're not employees we're associates. Your heart's in the right place but unless you calmly helpfully explain why this happens instead of taking a deserving, bratty, offensive stance they're not going to listen to you because it sounds like you were lecturing her for not having the same insight/interest/perspective as you. Nobody wants to listen to that, imagine stranger me shows up at your job, gets in your face, and tells you how wrong you are. How helpful is that? Just try to educate them about thieves, okay? P.S. you guys who steal belts, you suck.

I did. I explained thoroughly that the accessories were ripped out (clearly) and she just nodded her head, made her snide remark, and I don't hold well to that. You're in a customer service position, so provide the customer some service. If that is too difficult for you lets find a way to relieve you of that burden... you clearly do not belong in that position.
Same thing with waiters/fast food employees. I understand your job sucks, but if you hate your job then do something to change your position in life. I'm sure at 55 (roughly) she didn't want to be putting silly figures of Pirates on a shelf, but hey, that is the hand you decided to play. Good on you for actually working, but earn your keep.
Do the job that you're paid to do; plain and simple. I do my job... do I like every aspect of it? Not at all but I do what is required and try to go above that to prove my worth to the hospital.
In regards to wrestling figures, I stopped in Wal*Mart (different one) last night and found two Big Shows completely wrecked.

Maybe the employees are not lazy, it's just what can they do about it? Without reading too much into the situation, they are paid to put the toys on the shelf. They should tell whoever works above them about destroyed packages, but what are they going to do about it? Just write it off. Just a drop in the bucket to them. To us, it sucks because like someone else said, they may only get 3 Big Shows, and if all of them are missing belts, we surely aren't going to buy them.
Here's a solution: Ask the store if they'll pay you minimum wage to guard the Elites.

I understand that- however when I HAND her these figures and she looks at me like Im a moron and then places them BACK on the peg... she should lose her job in my opinion. She doesnt care enough to do her job properly and effectively then evidently her job is a burden and she shouldn't be plagued with that burden. Too many other people looking for jobs.

That is ridiculous. She should lose her job for not at least telling her boss about damaged merchandise. Putting it back on the shelf doesn't help anybody. Hopefully she was the exception but increasingly employees like her are becoming the rule.

How do people even get away with ripping into 2 packages. Nice buys none the less.

Sounds really poor that this is the state of the world. There is a million things people want in life but most people earn them or are given them etc Sadly people choose to do this

I would have accepted them purchasing the figures, gingerly opening and removing the belts, and then returning them much more than what was done here.
I might file a complaint with corporate about it. Her name tag as "Mary D." so evidently they had to put her last initial on there as there is likely 30-40 individuals named "Mary" currently employed there, so it won't be too hard to track her down.
My girl says "is it really worth the trouble" but if I don't do it, perhaps no one will and who knows what other aspects of her job does she neglect... if you can't do your job, you don't deserve your job.

Im actually surprised how many ppl STILL think packaging is going too make a difference in issues like this lol Think it thru ppl. Look at the length's ppl are going thru too get these belts standing in the middle of the store ripping them open too steal the accessories or figure. Why wouldnt ppl stand in the aisle doing the same thing but with a knife or razor blade. It makes the same amount of noise as ripping the package like that. Its not gonna matter. People are still griping about the packaging because changing it WOULD make a difference. A blister type packaging would eliminate most of this nonsense. There are cameras everywhere in these stores, plus some of them, such as Walmart, have security in plain clothes walking the floor 24/7. I'm pretty sure if a person is standing in an aisle cutting at a package with a knife or razor, somebody is going to notice it. With the current packaging for Elites, all you have to do is peel back a piece of tape and reach in. It's just way too easy for thieves. Granted, a packaging change would not eliminate the theft completely, but it would most likely make a huge difference.

Making it more difficult and time consuming isnt an answer, but it is most certainly a DETERRENT to theft.

This happens every time I go to the Target in Wilkes-Barre, there's only like 5 basics on the shelf and there mostly Rey's Orton's and Morrison's. I pick one up and walk to the electronics dept and ask the employee do you have anymore of these in the back. He doesn't bother to scan the item with the Telezon gun and says whatever is out is out. There has been the occasion where the employee does scan the item and checks to see if they have any back there. One time they did come back with a case but I already had the figure's anyway. So It depends on the work ethic of the employee. Some actually do go back and check and others tell you no because they probably don't like to be bothered by customers.

The first and only time I've ever had this case was with an E10 Big Show. The belts were stolen. I reported and the store just put it back on the shelf. I told them but they didn't care, so I hid it. That way no one could make the mistake especially if it was a parent buying the figure for their kid

Oh well, nothing can be done... but it is fun to complain about it.
