Brad Pitt made the shocking announcement that he plans to quit acting at the age of 50, which leaves him just three chances to win People's Sexiest Man award before he hits retirement. In a new interview with Australia's 60 Minutes, the 47-year-old revealed his plans. "Three years," the Ocean's Eleven star told the show in response to how long he plans to continue acting. "I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together," he explained of what he might do next. "Getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher times otherwise." There's one aspect of Pitt's life that might not slow down at 50, however. He may continue adding to his family with Angelina Jolie. "You know, I don't know that we're finished," he told 60 Minutes of conceiving (or adopting) more kids. "I don't know yet. I don't know." The stars are parents to Maddox, 10, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and Vivienne and Knox, 3. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That sucks just over 2 years

Still one of the best actors of our generation. Its a shame, but have to give him props for quitting when he wants to

I'll miss him but I'm excited for whatever he chooses to do. He's still got some excellent stuff coming out - he'll surely leave on a high note.

Only really liked him in Troy and on Friends, not seen him in much else, but he's pretty good. It's not the biggest loss but it's kinda sad I guess.

My favorite actor. Dude is awesome in pretty much everything he's in. I don't blame him for wanting to retire, though. He has it all.

Gutted. This is awful news. He has got some great upcoming films, though (Cogan's Trade), and has also been in some of the greatest films of all time. Will be sorely missed.

That's really stupid. I would want to win an Oscar for acting before I ever decided to leave acting for good. He has a shot to win this year for MoneyBall but I think he'll lose to Clooney.

Good for him to leave acting on his terms, but it is a shame, his work (for mine, especially in Snatch, Troy, Ocean's Eleven and Se7en) is superb.

For some reason, I thought WF hated Brad Pitt. Surprised to see all the positive feedback. Really like him as an actor. Excited to see Moneyball when it comes to DVD, never got a chance to see it during its theatre run. Going to miss him when he quits. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't he have a film with Pacino coming up sometime in the future? Don't remember where I heard that, just remember something like that.
