WWE.com has learned from WWE medical personnel that Christian suffered a severe high ankle sprain while competing on WWE's recent overseas tour throughout Europe. The severity of the sprain has made it impossible for him to compete as a member of Team Barrett against Team Orton at Survivor Series this Sunday.
Christian's ankle injury is further compounded by what transpired a week prior on SmackDown, during which Christian claimed to have suffered a neck injury as the result of a chokeslam at the massive hands of Big Show.
At this point in time, no replacement has been named, nor has it been determined whether or not Team Captain Wade Barrett will be leading a four-man team into Survivor Series this Sunday.

That's unfortunate that Christian got injured. He's never been one to really be injury prone. Wonder who the replacement will be? Brodus Clay would be a good replacement, but with little to no build, it definitely wouldn't be too over. But knowing WWE, they would do it anyways.

Christian/Sheamus was one of the two main feuds to add selling value to this match and therefore, it no longer makes any sense. What will WWE do? I'm not sure. Hard situation. They could just play it safe and include a random heel. I think they'll have Brodus Clay in the match like the technical wrestling expert who is so good he tells Hunter how to bump above me says.

Ugh, this sucks. Hes my favorite current wrestler and I was looking forward to him working a TLC or Ladder match at the next ppv. Hope he gets well soon. The only replacement I could think of would be Clay or Epico. McIntyre would be great if WWE is actually willing to use him. Hell, Dolph Ziggler may pull double duty again.

That's too bad. I wish him a speedy recovery. I like PwR's idea for Brodus Clay to be his replacement.

I see your point. Hopefully, when he comes back they do something alot better with him. Even though he has been used weakly this year, he does always put on a good match which is something I'll miss while he's gone.

NOOOOOOOOOO. SS will still be epic but NOOOOOOOOOO.
Hopefully he still appears to spear Orton or Sheamus. Have Epico replace him.

unfortunate...but at least it's nothing major that will keep him out for an extended period of time. it could have been much worse.
sucks he'll miss SS, but I'm sure we will all be fine.

That sucks. Christian has been a favorite of mine since his debut. I was really excited to see him in an Elimination SS match, and had hoped to see him have a cool match at TLC, possibly even for the WHC. I hope he gets healed up, and back to 100%, so he can get back soon. Because we all know he deserves ONE....MORE.....MATCH

I know nothing of the severity, but, Christian's position in the WWE isn't gonna change to quick. I kinda think Christian knew he couldn't complete at the level he's known for and he almost never gets injured so he stepped out so someone else could step in. It's an 8 (or 10) man tag.. the focus wouldn't have been on any one person until the match breaks down.
