Bullsh*t. That last knee Wanderlei gave him should have been it. That ref stepped in way late.

Don't get me wrong guys, he was done for either way. Bottom line is that he didn't stop it when he should have.

Especially since there was less than 10 seconds left. He coulda let it go and let the bell save him.

i honestly dont know how round 5 isnt 10-8 for shogun... thusly, im assuming they gave either rd 2 or 3 10-8 to danny. either way... this was so awesome.
wait no... math doesnt add up then. i guess they gave round 4 to hendo too?
math doesnt work out all around... rounds 1-3 mustve been to hendo, rounds 4 and 5 to shogun, no 10-8 in 5 for shogun. i guess thats fair. i did have round 5 10-8 for shogun though.

That was an extremely tough fight to score, but luckily for us it was one of the best fights in MMA history.

My God what a fight!! Both men left everything they had in the Octagon. And this was the free fight as part of the test for Xbox Live and UFC, so I was treated to a damn good card. All 5 fights were great and Hendo/Shogun is fight of the year, no questions asked!!

Crazy fights. Wand is back baby, he ain't done yet!
Unbelievable war from Hendo and Shogun. I'm still partial to Edgar vs Maynard II as being FOTY, but this was no doubt one of the biggest wars in UFC history.

Wow. Just wow... if that isn't Fight Of The Year, I don't know what will be(!). Shogun's made a fan out of me tonight... to take all that punishment and come back to win the last 2 rounds was incredible - I think Henderson just nicked it, based on his work in rounds 1-3, but a draw would have been a fair result... it seemed a shame one of them had to lose. It's great this fight took place just after the main-events went to 5 rounds too.
And Wanderlei Silva is awesome. ;D

Absolutely glorious night.
Now let's get a clean win for Fedor in the morning, and call it a week.

Just got back from a buddies place. We chilled there and watched the fights. Such a great fight card from top to bottom or bottom to top, however you look at it, it was an awesome night of fights.
And without question, Shogun/Hendo is Fight of the Year. It just beat out my pick of Maynard/Edgar II from January. It was non-stop action and those guys fought their asses off. It was an incredible fight!! I'm glad Hendo picked up the win.
Wanderlei/Cung Le was another great back and forth fight. And it was good to see Wanderlei pick up a win again.
Faber/Bowles was another good scrap. I think all the fights were good, even the Bonnar fight. I don't care if the crowd didn't like it, I did and that's all the counts to me. Bonnar continues his winning ways.
Also, I loved the Spike TV fight between Michael McDonald and Steve Nelmark...Oh sorry, Alex Soto. I say Steve Nelmark because that's who he looked like when the fight was stopped. LOL.
For you newer fans who might not have heard of Steve Nelmark, here's a quick clip of when he fought Tank Abbott many years ago:
Anyway, a tremendous night of fights. I loved it.
