Just finished Summerslam 1993. Razor Ramon vs Dibiase, Steiners vs Heavenly Bodies, IRS vs Kid & Tatanka/Gunns vs Bam Bam/Shrinkers were great stuff. Borga squashing Jannetty like that on PPV was sure a vote of confidence from Vince. Kinda liked Borgas style. The booking of the main event will confuse me until the end of the time. That was a fun squash.I liked Borga. I know he was your typical ''evil foreigner'' character but he played the role to a tee.Shame his run was cut short. The Steiners match is indeed another gem and for DiBiase's last match in the US it was very good. He's one of the guys who did the right thing in that he knew injuries were mounting so when he retired he stayed retired. As far as Luger goes, he did a virtual signing last month talking about how Vince told em if he was going to win the belt it would be Mania X and not SSlam. True or not they build him up all Summer for a count out victory in the end. It killed his babyface run then and there. Crazy....I personally think it would have been better for Luger to win it here and drop it to Yoko at RR94. Have Bret win the RR straight out & challenge Yoko. You still have Bret vs Owen...nothing needs to change there.

They could have built up the WM10 match between Bret & Yoko as Bret finally getting a rematch against Yokozuna for the title after being screwed out of it the year before.

I took a break to watch Big Mouth but I’m back at it and just started KOTR 94. I’ll give all my thoughts lately but just wanted to say IRS is a s*** promo and I’m honestly surprised to see him used so much in the early days of the New Generation.

Yup...the Bret/Owen stuff doesn't need to change at all...in fact it works better without Luger.

True, they could have Owen face Luger at Mania with Owen winning, which would be a good way to make him the #1 contender. This would set up the match at Summer Slam, Owen could still come out at the end of WM10 when Bret was on the other wrestlers shoulders.

Just finished Summerslam 1994.
Headshrinkers vs IRS/Bam Bam was a great opener...
Razor vs Diesel is great stuff & its one of my favorite matches. HBK played his part DAMN well too.
Tatanka vs Luger entertained me too...
Bret vs Owen is great stuff of course but I was surprised to hear boos for Bret during it.
the less said about the rest the better...LOL

Ok so my random KOTR 94 thoughts. First off, the commentary team is oof. Randy just is annoying and should be in the ring. Art Donovan is garbage and is constantly asking “Who is he?!?”. Gorilla is great as always. Razor vs Bam Bam is a good opener. Bam Bam is just so great and Razor plays babyface very well. Was very into it. IRS vs Mabel was trash. Neither man should be there. Felt like filler. Owen in 94 is the coolest mother er around. His theme and his presentation is so good. Probably my favorite Tatanka match. Jarrett has always been meh to me. Kid plays his role well. You could see Diesel was having a rocket strapped to him. Bret is great as always. These two have a great match with Shawn and Anvil playing their parts perfectly. Made me want more. Razor makes quick work of IRS as he should. Owen and 123 was great for the short amount of time. Yoko goes from being a great monster heel champ to being in a meh tag team with Crush? Yoko should have had IRS’ spot in the tournament. Team Adam Bomb with Crush. The Headshrinkers are super over, despite getting an idiotic USA chant. Enjoyed Owen vs Razor but wanted so much more. Anvil joining Owen is great. Owen’s whole storyline that he is just as good as Bret is so god damn good. Right choice of winner here. Piper vs Lawler. I don’t even care. No offense to Piper.

Survivor Series 1987. So the first annual show.
The pacing for such huge guys at the time was actually quite impressive.
I loved Bam Bam Bigelow's attempt at vanquishing Andre's Giant (Pardon the pun) team.

Summerslam 94. The cage match is an all time great. I really wish Owen would have gotten the win here and ended up losing to Diesel. Speaking of which, Diesel and Razor had a hell of a match. Part of me would have loved to see HBK vs Walter Peyton. Undertaker vs Undertaker was fine. Tatanka had a decent showing with Lex and crowd was hit for the turn. I honestly wasn’t paying full attention and need to rewatch the women’s match. Overall fun show.

Survivor Series 94. So this was an event. Starts off strong with the Teamsters vs the Bad Guys. Diesel looks incredible and is over as hell. Shawn plays prick so well. Everything about the match worked for me. From there, it’s pretty downhill. Lawler vs Doink should have been five minutes. Backlund is one of the greatest of all time, but he feels such an odd choice to end Bret’s reign. I get they wanted the belt on Diesel but you have too heel Owen right there. The match just didn’t work and lasted way longer than it needed to. Backlund promo afterwards was great though. Team Lex vs the Million Dollar Corporation was fine. Tatanka looks bloated. Love Bundy but again he feels out of place in the “New Generation.” Thought for sure Lex would beat the odds but the right team won. Bam Bam really should have had a run with the belt with all the random midcard crap he got stuck with. Chuck Norris as an enforcer is dope. Love Yoko and Taker. Love the match stip. It works but it’s also over booked to crap. Sadly this was the death of main event Yoko if I’m not mistaken. Have a feeling I’m not going to enjoy 1995 as much as I have 1994.

Watching these ppvs has made me a Diesel fan. I’ve always liked Nash but never got into Diesel when I was younger. So I just bought this tee off mercari.

Rumble 95. Razor vs Jarrett was pretty good. Wouldn’t mind having Razor in that gear as an elite. Feel like Taker will just have boring ass matches this whole year. Pam Anderson looks so good here. Tag match was pretty decent. Bret and Diesel kill it again. A lot of over booking here but it all worked. The Runble was odd. Michaels going the distance would have been better had the time between participants had been longer. Liked seeing Bulldog and Shawn as the first and final two. The downside is this match showed how little substance the roster had at this time. For the new generation, a lot of random old timers here too. Overall decent start to the year.

Ramon, Jarrett & a few others should have been made pull double duty. Roster was wafer thin but Vince deployed his talent all wrong in 1995.
