kurt angle vs edge in a cage match, smackdown 2002 classic match at the beginning phases of edge breaking out as a singles star When you think about how often these two were either against or in matches with each other in 2002, I can’t remember a bad one. I was so gutted when Edge broke his neck as I thought he should be in a higher position quicker. But I guess it all worked out and here we are. Smackdown in 2002 is some of the best wrestling you’ll watch from WWE. Not sure where Edge's place would have be in 2003. Wrestlemania would still have been Brock vs Angle. Probably would have had US title run and one WWE championship shot at PPV which he would lose. Pretty much same kind of spot Eddie and Benoit had in 2003.

Yeah, when you look back it’s hard to say where he would’ve fit. But had he been in that US title picture, gaining more momentum, and the chance to have matches with Eddie/Benoit/Rhyno and Cena potentially, he’d have been having a terrific year. Look at the 2004 for those guys (Eddie/Benoit and Cena), it did more to help them being away from that main title picture rather than being in it!

Just watched King Harley vs King Haku at Royal Rumble ‘89
This might be wrestlings battle of the tough guys. HIGHLY intriguing haha. Who wins THAT shoot fight?

I remember Haku kicking Harley's head off in that match.
Oh yeah RWN revisits Rumble 89 on January 15th!

Undertaker/Austin at Backlash 2002. One of my more favourite matches they had, but I have fond memories of getting home from school on Monday and my dad had ordered the event on Sky Box Office so we watched the whole show together.

Definitely one of their stronger encounters. Crazy when you consider what was happening in the background!! My last matches were IYH: Seasons Beatings Undertaker vs Mabel Bret vs Bulldog(superior to Summerslam 92) IYH: Buried Alive Sid vs Vader(good brawl) Undertaker vs Mankind...amazing.

IYH-Rage in the Cage: Bret vs Diesel. Cracker but Bret looked weak as piss for the 2nd title defence in a row.
WM12: Undertaker vs Diesel...awesome match.
KOTR 96: HBK vs Bulldog...👌

WM12: Undertaker vs Diesel...awesome match. KOTR 96: HBK vs Bulldog...👌 That was one of Bret's main complaints about this title run, which led to Nash being so upset by Bret voicing his complaints that he signed with WCW. Even though the New Generation was not overall great, it did have a lot of great performances and matches in its run, most notably from Bret and Shawn.

Don't buy into his rewritten narrative. The moment he heard the dates & money arrangement Hall was getting he was done....who could blame him. He said so numerous times 😉 I also feel Brets complaints were valid. He was the sacrificial lamb to build the UT/Diesel feud

I guess like most wrestling commentaries, you have to take it with a grain of salt... Me too. It's never good to make a good guy champion look weak, or make it look like other people should be the champion.

If you check out the NWO documentary on the Network, he literally told the story of him leaving and why. Hall told him how much and how many dates and he was sold and gone. I don't think Bret had anything to do with it tbf.

Prichard & Bischoff also crap on the Bret stuff. They both thought it was hilarious 😂

Watching “Red Rooster” Terry Taylor vs. Tito Santana on SNME Jan. 7, 1989…
Heenan is mic’d up. 😂 Jesse on commentary approving of everything Heenan is saying! This is too much!! 🤣
Bobby Heenan and Jesse Ventura are pure gold. Heenan physically abusing Rooster and Ventura justifying it. Rooster turning on Bobby and Jesse immediately is outraged…. I can’t take it! 😂🤣
RIP Brain… you were the greatest

😆 Just started watching the follow up Prime Time to the SNME Jan. 1989 😂
Gorilla immediately starts ripping on Heenan for the Rooster face turn! 🤣
This is why I am a wrestling fan!
Randy Savage, Jesse Ventura, Bobby Heenan, and Gorilla Monsoon made me love wrestling
