I liked the one year in advance hype & RAW after WM27 was a letdown due to the crowd lol. The match turned out to be a big success with WM28 being the highest buy rate for WWE of all time.Shame it was wasted on that match. There rematch dropped 300,000 buys, and the mania after that it dropped another 300,000+. Are the buy rates just based on US numbers or do they include world-wide numbers? If so, when did they start doing world-wide? I believe the buy rates were World wide for the last 20 years maybe? I think since the late 90s or early 2000s most likely. Rock vs Cena rematch did a million buys roughly & WM30 got 700K roughly but the WWE network was just launched so the buy rate wasn’t too relevant tbh but still did a strong number. I’d say take out the network then WM30 would have easily got a million or more tbh.

The Vipers (Jake Roberts, Jimmy Snuka & The Rockers) vs The Visionaries (Rick Martel, the Warlord & Power and Glory) - Survivor Series 1990
Teams had proper names back then. Names like "Team Cena" or "Team SmackDown" just don't work for me.

It really makes WM3 and WM5 look more impressive considering they only did numbers with the American audience: WM3 did 450,000 buys plus another 400,000 in closed circuit views, and WM5 did 767,000 buys.

I don’t think they include the network with buy rates & WM3 & WM5 did good numbers! If they included World wide buys then those numbers would probs go up by 100/200K maybe even 300K more.

Hitman vs Diesel @ King OTR 94.
Great match & the crowd was super into it. Man they loved Bret kicking out after the belt shot from HBK.
Ending of the Match makes Bret look weak though imho.

Bret Hart vs Diesel @ RR95.
A great match that devolves into an overbooked mess near the end.

Kind of looks like Tom Magee. I wonder if Vince was going to try to push him to be his next big star.

Good chance. His reaction when he saw his physique ... They scooped him up quick after a few months in GWF but never knew what to do with him at all. They built em strong on commentary with Gorilla saying something along the lines of ''bright future for this youngster'' but he would be gone not long after Mania VIII Like I said the roid stuff really hurt any chance he had
