WM23: Cena vs HBK. Great match & man I wanted HBK to win so badly at the time. WM24: Undertaker vs Edge. My god...brilliant from both men. Absolutely unreal WM25: HHH vs Orton. Absolute tripe from them. Watching paint dry terroritory Loved Taker vs Edge & Cena vs HBK...HHH vs Orton sucked lol It really did....& it was NOTHING to do with what came before

WM29: Cena vs Rock. Not as good as the year before & again too long but it was entertaining enough.
WM30: Bryan vs Orton vs Batista....incredible match & Jesus was the crowd eating that up.
WM31: Rollins vs Lesnar vs Reigns. Entertaining stuff & Rollins cash in was well done I thought.

It really did....& it was NOTHING to do with what came before It should have been a Street Fight Given the extremely personal nature of the feud? It should have been anything but what we got...lol 🤣🤣🤣 My last was Ricky Steamboat vs Rick Rude @ Beach Blast 1992. Now that's how you do an Iron Man match 👏

Looking back now, some people may not find it that bad, but watching it live felt boring as hell. Just bad stuff.

WTH did they do to the Hall of Fame? What do you mean? How did it take over two hours to induct 5 people in 2023? Three segments didn't have that much to say, Muta barely said anything. One reason: the introductory video packages went forever. Those time concerns huh? All talents are off the hard camera, being corralled on the stage. Sure they don't want to catch inattentiveness or stars getting up for personal business, but the backdrop is all fans now, and they are no better, much worse in fact. At least the stars would act poised and dignified on camera and have some high-dress factor. And still not sold on the two-host banter. There was a point Asuka was being put over hard by Flair, but the camera didn't cut to her until the end. Maybe though that was an impromptu moment and all the immediate talent reaction cuts from previous shows were done in production, idk. But I didn't notice any talent shots unless they were setting up plugs for Mania matches. And then they shot an ANGLE during Rey's induction. I don't care if they both passionately wanted to do it, it's unseemly and doesn't sell Mania buys any more. Is there a diehard Rey Mysterio fan who would be watching his induction but would be passing on a Rey Mysterio match UNTIL they see Dominick disrespecting his father. Those are my rantings for the night on something that doesn't matter.

Steiner vs Goldberg @fall Brawl 2000. As hard hitting as you'll get.
Great stuff from both men.

Steiners vs Sting & Luger from Superbrawl. Superb...one match where Luger can be ok with being the worst worker in there.
Flair vs Windham from Beach Blast 93 - I expected this to be better?

I watched the whole of Summerslam 1991 last night - Bret vs Perfect the obvious stand-out by some distance when it comes to wrestling, and probably the WWF match of the year (a feat they managed to repeat two years later and perhaps topped in quality), but the whole event was great in its entertainment value start to finish. MSG crowd pumped as always. The roster was never as stacked with star power as it was for this PPV (Flair not yet in vision but imminent as Heenan challenges Hogan backstage in the name of Flair). Shawn Michaels the only notable absentee due to injury I believe. Steamboat (utterly wasted by Vince by and large) still on the WWF books and Perfect with his final in-ring performance before the injury break (all the more impressive how he throws absolutely everything into the match given his back pain). Weirdly neither the Undertaker nor Jake were on the show, unless you count the wedding reception appearance afterwards.
I assume Piper was injured and so moved to commentary as a result(?). He's fun behind the mic, but he rather disrupts the natural comedy double act of Gorilla and Heenan.

Yeah, good stuff. One of my all-time favorite PPV's. And, also, the first wrestling PPV I ever watched. Not sure if Piper was injured during, he did wrestle at House shows around this time, I think he was transitioning to the announce desk for TV purposes. He didn't have to wrestle as much, and he could spend more time with his family. Shame Taker and Jake didn't make the show, but I think they were setting them up for a big fall, Jake with Warrior and Taker with Sid & Hogan.
