Last year we saw the biggest Royal Rumble in history where there was an unprecedented 40 entrants. The Scottrade Center in St. Louis is advertising for a 30 man Royal Rumble along with a WWE and World Heavyweight Championship match.

I don't mind this. 40 people every year is overkill.

I don't mind it going back to 30 but I hope that in wwe 13 we get the option of 10 man or 20 or 30 or 40 man RR.

Im fine with it, should mean the rest of the card wont be as lackluster. 40 probably takes too much talent that could be used elsewhere on the card so its not always a one match PPV. Ziggler is the exception of course.

thank god. i really didn't like the 40-man anyway. 30 is the perfect number for the Royal Rumble

I'm glad it's going back to 30-man. There was something about the 40-man that I didn't like. It just seemed like it dragged on and on.

The 40-man Rumble was such a bad idea. 'Let's break a 20+ year tradition just for the sake of getting all of The Corre and The New Nexus in the match.' It dragged on so much.

I don't blame them for doing the 40-man since it wasn't something they've promoted in a long time and they did have a lot of people who you could make an argument for getting in that wouldn't have with just 30 men. That said, while I thought last year's Rumble was fine, it's not something I particularly want to see again, at least for a while. Have that be the promotional tool you pull out every 8-10 years and return the Rumble match back to 30 entrants as it's been for so long.

I dont see too much of a problem with it. They could just stick some NXT guys in the match.

I'm a fan of 30. I thought the Rumble was entertaining with 40 but it just seems unnecessary to me. Additionally, I don't really care for anyone except Ziggler working twice in a night. I'm sure we will get two good World Title matches and "The biggest Rumble ever!" plug won't be necessary.

Good. They'll have time for another match or two.

I loved the 40 man Royal Rumble but it definitely was a little much. I'm glad they've decided to return to the original format, it was working fine. I just hope we have more surprise entrants, seeing as I will most likely be going to the event.

40 man was awful. Honestly, until WWE starts developing better...30 sometimes is pushing it. With 30 you still get a lot of jobbers and curtain jerkers in it that you know dont stand a chance. If you could choose 20 top legit superstars it would be more impressive. However, the rumble has almost always been 30. Its tradition. So I wont complain.

I thought the 40 man RR was great, it's too bad they aren't keeping it that way.
