Hey guys! Just wondering if you could help me out and help shed some light on something for me.
So I remember how the whole Ahmed Johnson/Faarooq feud began back in 1996 when Faarooq still wore that terrible blue headgear and was a "Roman gladiator" or some crap. Anyway they had a little feud over the I-C title and then Ahmed has his kidney injury and surgery. Things really picked up though in late 1996 when Faarooq changed his gimmick and created the Nation of Domination which eventually included Crush and Savio Vega. That led to Ahmed & Faarooq having a series of matches including Royal Rumble 1997 and the Chicago Street Fight with LOD at Wrestlemania 13. They even did a gauntlet match to where if Ahmed could beat all three members in succession then they would split. However, the summer of 1997 is where things get fuzzy for me.
Didn't Ahmed join the Nation at one point only to get kicked out or something? I also remember Ahmed having some sort of mini-feud with Undertaker during that time. Ahmed seemed to come and go a lot (injuries?) but would always pop back up and keep feuding with the Nation. I watched a clip from Survivor Series 1997 the other day and sure enough, Ahmed is in the Survivor Series team against the Nation so he is STILL feuding with them at that point. When did it end? It seemed to go on forever with no real conclusion. Just more confusion. Any details on this guys?

Yea by 97 ahemd was pretty injury prone, he did join the nation, not sure ifnhe got kicked out that same night or the week after but he didnt stay long due to injury, right around that time The Rocked joined the nation I'm not sure if h joined before or after the gang wars with doa and los boricuas, ahemds fued with them slowly just faded away and the focus turned to rocky vs farroq

On the June 16 edition of Raw is War, Faarooq promised that he would deliver a "bigger, badder, better and blacker" version of the Nation, after 'firing' Crush, Mason, and Savio Vega, retaining only Brown.[10] which led to the induction of Kama Mustafa and Ahmed Johnson into the group after Johnson turned on WWF Champion The Undertaker during a tag team match against Faarooq and Kama Mustafa.[10] Johnson would be forced out of the group due to injury. Faarooq said that Johnson was not black enough and that he was a white boy waiting to come out. He was replaced by Rocky Maivia.[1] Meanwhile, former Nation members Vega and Crush formed their own rival factions, Los Boricuas (made up entirely of Puerto Rican wrestlers) and the Disciples of Apocalypse (made up entirely of biker wrestlers) respectively. This led to a WWF style "gang war."[1]
i'm also guessing that at the time of johnson's turning on the undertaker was a few weeks away from the whole ecw influx, as the main event of that raw had farooq squaring off against taker.

Didn't Ahmed and Clearance Mason later show up in WCW and form a tag team/stable with Stevie Ray or am I imagining that?

i remember they were kinda building up to that for a little while too...specifically, Undertaker defending the WWF Title vs Farooq at the 1997 KOTR,and after the match Taker just kept beating on Farooq due to Paul Bearer's insistence,and amazingly Ahmed Johnson came out and got between them and basically called Taker out for being out of control (this was during the time that Taker was forced to take Paul back as his manager,otherwise he would spill the "big secret" he knew),and Johnson attacked Taker...right after that,on the next weeks Raw,was where Ahmed turned on Taker and joined the Nation.....i think he was only in it for like 2 or 3 weeks or something....

I thought Ahmed got injured the first week in the Nation, wasn't there a promo to start raw, the Nation was attacked by someone and Ahmed injured himself then?

Side note, those gang wars were highly underrated. I really enjoyed the tag team matches that came from it.

Johnson was a train wreck of injuries wasnt he?meant to have been very clumsy too.......Cornette said on one of his many shoots that Vince was afraid to let Johnson wear laced boots in case he tore a muscle lacing them up......LOL.

Lol what, you guys didn't think it was 'creative writing,' how Harlem Heat 2000 legally prevented Booker T, from using the letter T? lol The few things from that storyline I remember, were the T legal action, Ahmed having that huge gut, Booker being forced to use a theme that sounded like something from a 50s sitcom, and Booker's girl Midnight.

fun note, i was just watching a raw of the date 17/021997, and ahmed had been laid up in the hospital for about week. savio vega, who was part of the nation at this time along with pg13 and chain maybe?, was fighting marc mero. farooq with clarence mason was in the audience. the match goes to a dq since sable is being chased by the nation, until ahmed comes with a 2x4 for the big save still in hospital clothes (lol!)
