I don't mind the homepage change now, but I'm still using the previous channel design.
Wish you could x things off like the recommended videos.

I learned in business management class on why people resist change. They do because they are used to seeing or doing a certain thing a certain way as in YouTube. Everybody hates the constant YouTube layout changes ever since Google bought YouTube. I hate it too. Especially the Star rating system being changed to Thumbs up/down.

I am not a fan but I don't really pay much attention to the layout.
I just find and watch the videos and even changed it does that well enough.

The only thing I don't like is how I can't delete videos from my subscribed channels off the main page after I watch them. It looks nice to me.
