when did they name the Perfect Plex as Hennigs finisher. I was watching Wrestlemania V the other day and Monsoon had called it a fishermen suplex but Ventura said no its the Perfect plex

Because he was Mr. Perfect. I think he's asking WHEN they changed the name man...not why. Either way, I'm not sure the exact date. Maybe it's one of those deals like when Mr. Perfect supposedly called Shawn Michaels "The Heartbreak Kid" on commentary once and it stuck.

this is a video of Mr Perfect vs Koko B. Ware from Saturday nights main event from December 1988.
Before the match, Perfect has an interview with Mean Gene, who asks Mr P. about the new move he is introducing to the WWF. (around 36 seconds in).
As far as i'm aware that is the first time it's mentioned as the Perfect Plex.
I just watched a match against Nito Gomez from the November 15th 1988 superstars where he used the move and Jesse the Body referred to it as a cradle suplex so i'd say the December SNME was the first time.

It's so strange to see Curt, as Mr. Perfect, without the singlet. It's funny, because I've watched AWA matches of him, and his wears just the trunks, and nothing looks odd, but for some reason, seeing him as Mr. Perfect, in trunks, is an odd sight.

Those multi-colored singlets were pretty unique and made him stand out. I remember his "Mr. P" boots that I always thought were pretty cool too.
