Getting really sick of Xbox crap. The latest was that I bought 4 3-month Xbox Live cards(totaling 1 year of XBL) on Black Friday, added them to my account last Saturday, and Xbox tried to charge me today for a month of XBL(even though I don't even have automatic payments on my account).
So anyway, my question is, if anyone has gone from Xbox 360 to PS3, how was the change? Better? Easy? Pros and cons?

I never owned an Xbox 360, but I've played it enough times to know enough about it. I think PS3 is the better system of the two. It has a better selection of games and there are enough things to do on the system to keep you busy for hours. PS3 is also a lot more simple than the Xbox 360. I find it more comforting.

I prefer xbox, had one since christmas 08(had the original white then upgraded to the slim on release day), and have always loved it. I have played PS3, and I have to say the online community has nothing on the Xbox Live.
Xbox has many great titles, like Halo, Gears, Left 4 Dead plus the Kinect titles are taking off now as well!

I went from PS3 to Xbox and I barely touch my PS3 anymore.

i prefer ps3 but the xbox is much more capable in terms of online use. overall i'd say i like the ps3 more for it's applicability to things outside of games.

It's generally accepted that if you're an online gamer, the 360 is for you. PSN has nothing on Xbox Live. I use my 360 way more than my PS3. It comes down to opinion though.

The issue with Sony is that it makes good hardware, but just completely lacks the games to back up the system. About 90% of good ps3 games are available on the 360 and/or wii. The only game I've ever wanted for PS3 that's exclusive is the Studio Ghibli game.

If you're an online gamer, you won't find nearly the same community on the PS3 that you will with X-Box Live.
Aside from that, both have their share of advantages. I was strictly an X-Box guy from launch until about a year ago, when I bought a PS3 to replace my aging Blu-Ray player. I love my PS3, but I still consider my X-Box my primary gaming system. I buy console exclusives on PS3, but other than that, I use it more as a Blu-Ray player than anything.

For one thing, it works both ways--Most games on the 360 are available for the PS3. Plus, the amount of quality exclusives for the PS3 outweigh those of the 360's. Just to name a few, Uncharted, Resistance, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, Metal Gear Solid, Ratchet & Clank, and Infamous. That's not to say that the 360 doesn't have great exclusives, but PS3 has phenomenal exclusive titles. This is coming from someone who plays 360 all the time and barely touches their PS3. The reason why, because I'm easily addicted to online games and you can't compare PSN to XBL.

My PS3 just broke for a 3rd time so Im getting a new one for Christmas but its still considered, to me, a blu ray player that I can play Uncharted on.

I have both, but play the PS3 more. Of course, I've been a Playstation guy since mid-97 and other controllers just don't feel right. The 360 is a great system, so it's really just a matter of personal preference. I'm not an online gamer, so the fact that PSN generally sucks isn't much of a factor for my enjoyment of the system. I also love that it's a blu-ray player. Haven't bought anything for my 360 recently, but I still fire it up and play some GTA IV or Dragon Age: Origins. At least I did before Skyrim was released.

I have PS3 and have never had a problem with multiplayer gaming. That's the thing everyone always says XBOX is better. I don't see how. What's better about it? I've never had any type of multiplayer problem in the slightest. I always get into full games and never have any problems with my online quality

I always get into full games and never have any problems with my online quality As someone who doesn't own a PS3 and therefore doesn't know the full feature-set of PSN, the two advantages that come to mind are: - Being able to voice chat with up to 7 other people across any games - Updating the console (even an update that overhauls the whole thing) in less than 10 minutes and games in less than 5 minutes (although most are seconds)

Not at all, xbox has the Gears of War, Halo and Fable series' among others, and has a completely unmatched marketplace, full of amazing arcade games like splosion man, comic jumper and shadow complex that the playstation didn't get. The xbox also gets exclusive content for games released across both consoles (Dead Rising 2 for example). The majority of the games you listed as exclusives are playstation versions of already existing titles. I guess my taste in games varies greatly from that of the standard ps3 owner, as I'm not into having 10 different 1st person shooters, and 10 different versions of Gran Turisimo racing games, I'd rather just have GOW and for the xbox Mario Kart for the wii. I also wouldn't consider Metal Gear Solid a PS exclusive, seeing as how they often release games for Nintendo.

It WAS a Playstation exclusive for this gen but now it's not. It's available on 360 as well, sans MGS4 which will remain a Playstation exclusive.

You tell me what Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, Resistance, or Ratchet & Clank have appeared on, besides Sony's home and portable consoles. Add iNFAMOUS to that list too. This is coming from someone who has FAR MORE invested in the Xbox 360 as well - 2,057 songs on Rock Band 3 doesn't lie - and I'd take Uncharted, or LBP, or inFAMOUS over Halo, Fable, or L4D any day of the week. Quote me on that.

Before I forget this too, how many times has Microsoft gotten stuff exclusive to their version of games? Mortal Kombat got Kratos on PS3. Nothing special on Xbox. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood got the Copernicus Conspiracy missions. Revelations got AC1 in full on disc. Not on the Xbox. Dead Space 2 got Dead Space: Extraction on disc.
I love both my consoles and play each as equally as the other, by the way.

I ended up getting my PS3 (in 2007 I think) because I knew MGS4 was exclusive to it. I really don't think there's much difference between the two, although XBOX seems to appeal to the FPS gamer (which I am certainly not) whereas PS3 has more varied exclusives. Also, the whole online being free thing, which is great. Definitely glad I stuck with Sony, but there's really very little in it IMO.
Saying that, the whole Xbox RROD thing, whereas PS3 is much more stable is BS. I'm on my 6th PS3, luckily I've only had to pay for a repair once.

I've never had any type of multiplayer problem in the slightest. I always get into full games and never have any problems with my online quality I never understood that, either. People say PS3's online multiplayer is dead, but I never have trouble finding full sessions on any game. Maybe it's because PS3 owners know when to stop playing. Xbox owners play non-stop, all day, every day.

Xbox owners play non-stop, all day, every day. Probably thee most ignorant comment I've ever read on this forum, and I've been on here for some time. People say the PS3's online is dead because there's hardly anyone with mics and most of the time their mics are shoddy, and the party/chat system is abysmal. You can't argue that, even with your ignorant comments. Gamers are gamers, there's no difference between people who play PS3 or 360 or Wii.
