I have owned both, and I personally prefer PSN to Xbox Live, and that is not because of the price. PSN is so simple to navigate through and you don't have to sift through countless ads. It's easier to see which friends are online without going through those cartoony avatars. The only thing lacking is cross game chat, but honestly I don't want to talk to somebody while I am enjoying a game they arent playing. I love my ps3 and when both my ps3 broke(shattered, not YLOD) and xbox broke(RLOD) I decided to only replace my PS3. Also, the exclusives for 360 aren't my forte. I despise both halo and gears, and Mass Effect is now on PS3. I would choose ps3 a hundred times over.

Xbox owners play non-stop, all day, every day. Probably thee most ignorant comment I've ever read on this forum, and I've been on here for some time. People say the PS3's online is dead because there's hardly anyone with mics and most of the time their mics are shoddy, and the party/chat system is abysmal. You can't argue that, even with your ignorant comments. Gamers are gamers, there's no difference between people who play PS3 or 360 or Wii. Really? That's the most ignorant comment you've ever read on this forum? It's closer to the truth than not.

If 360 gamers are the only ones playing non-stop, then that means 360 is the best console to play if you want to play online. Why? Because that means no matter your timezone, sleep schedule, or whatever, you'll always easily find people to play with.

The issue with Sony is that it makes good hardware, but just completely lacks the games to back up the system. About 90% of good ps3 games are available on the 360 and/or wii. The only game I've ever wanted for PS3 that's exclusive is the Studio Ghibli game. Do not acknowledge this hasty generalization. For one thing, it works both ways--Most games on the 360 are available for the PS3. Plus, the amount of quality exclusives for the PS3 outweigh those of the 360's. Just to name a few, Uncharted, Resistance, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, Metal Gear Solid, Ratchet & Clank, and Infamous. That's not to say that the 360 doesn't have great exclusives, but PS3 has phenomenal exclusive titles. This is coming from someone who plays 360 all the time and barely touches their PS3. The reason why, because I'm easily addicted to online games and you can't compare PSN to XBL. No longer exclusive to PS. Xbox has the HD collection and is getting the newest game too.

How do you assume X-Box players play all day? Is it because you once had an X-Box and YOU played it all day? Anyway its a good thing if people are always playing X-Box, that means that every game will always have a steadily population, and you will always be able to find a match.

The reason why, because I'm easily addicted to online games and you can't compare PSN to XBL. Not at all, xbox has the Gears of War, Halo and Fable series' among others, and has a completely unmatched marketplace, full of amazing arcade games like splosion man, comic jumper and shadow complex that the playstation didn't get. The xbox also gets exclusive content for games released across both consoles (Dead Rising 2 for example). The majority of the games you listed as exclusives are playstation versions of already existing titles. I guess my taste in games varies greatly from that of the standard ps3 owner, as I'm not into having 10 different 1st person shooters, and 10 different versions of Gran Turisimo racing games, I'd rather just have GOW and for the xbox Mario Kart for the wii. I also wouldn't consider Metal Gear Solid a PS exclusive, seeing as how they often release games for Nintendo. Also note that I specifically said quality. Compare critic reviews for PS3 exclusives vs. those of the 360 you'll see the PS3 far outweighs the 360, and that my opinions aren't in the minority. Also, compare Fable to any of the PS3 titles I mentioned and it ends up being one of the 360's most embarrassing exclusives.

Xbox Live can't use the argument "theres more people online." Once it gets past a certain point (which both consoles have passed) then it doesn't matter, becasue there will always be enough people to play with. I know I've never had a problem with it, and I've seen others say that in this thread too.

I would like to switch to PS3 but I've invested too much time into the 360. I know I'd wanna get all the achievements I currently have as trophies and I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself until I do that. I'm just stupid like that lol

The rhetoric being employed in this thread is fascinating.
I love system A so I'm totally not biased, but system B is objectively better.
itt: Different strokes for different folks. Video games are subjective, but don't let that stop you guys from trying to convince people otherwise.
