I want both of those figures mentioned, but could live without either since we already have multiple figures of each. I would much rather see someone we don't have a figure of first be made.

I'm all for this, and I'm shocked Mattel have not already made one.
For the last time, Mattel, we're asking for an ELITE flashback figure. Not a basic figure.
I'm cool with anything from 96 - 98.

As I said,I THINK if they strategized right, I BELIEVE they could put legends sets at retal again, even at 4-5 figs a set. Anchor them with HBK, Taker,Macho, Warrior, Bret, Rock, Austin, HHH, Andre, Road Warriors/LOD, and soon Mick Foley, and inevitably at some point in the future Hogan and Flair. Then we could see some of the beloved mid-carders from over the years and the attire people have wanted , like barefoot with trunks Snuka, NWA Dusty, Camo Sgt. Slaughter, Permed intercontinental title era Rick Rude, WM 3 White trunks Steamboat, and red shoulder pads attire LOD.

To reiterate what I said before... Absolutely, yes.   Any of those would suffice. I especially want the last one, which he wore at 1997's UK PPV, One Night Only, and I think he wore something similar during his 2000s comeback before switching to pants. It's my favorite wrestling attire ever. Can't find a decent picture of it, but it's this really reflective silver/red/white candystripe look. It would be unbelievably awesome in figure form. |

I sign. I'm a HUGE fan of both guys. I don't care if it's WrestleMania 14, DX IYH, SummerSlam 1995, WrestleMania 10 or Royal Rumble 1997 but we need more Mattel Flashback/Legends HBK figures!!! Mattel kind of pissed me off in their interview when they said that we won't get an HBK Flashback because it's "too close to the Rumble HBK coming out". HBK had a TON of great attires and when Jakks made them they all sold like hot cakes!!! It makes me think that Mattel will never have a complete Legends collection and we will only get select attires when they say things like this.
HBK and Taker always sell so how it's taken this long already and we still don't have a Legends/Flashbacks Taker with purple gloves and HBK in many of his great attires is beyond me.

Guys like Shawn, Bret, Taker, Macho, HHH and the road warriors have SO many diffrerent looks that they would almost never run out of attires between those 7 guys alone! Mattel with the right strategy could make a tremendous legends series. Stick to 4 figures a set. Just use these guys as the Main support then fill the sets with 2 legends that arent as popular but will also sell due to their look and own slight popularity. And don't make so many! I feel like they made wayyyyy too many Legends 1 and legends 2figures as those setss clog the shelves even to this day. But back to the main topic the more that these flashbacks and the Matty Exclusives sell the bigger chance we have of legends returning down the line! And with guys like Shawn and Taker we can fufill this requirement! |

I don't care about another Undertaker (unless it's the American Bad Ass version), but I DO want an elite flashback HBK. I'd prefer WM 14. MAKE IT HAPPEN, MATTEL! RSC exclusive would be even better as we'd all be able to get one without a huge headache.

i think we can all agree that Mattel screwed up a bit by not having any "Big Name" guys per se to anchor the Legends lines beyond Austin and Rock...
BUT,at the same point,there's stories there too...like,when Legends was being formulated/started,they didn't have Bret,Warrior,Macho,or Foley under contract for figures - hence the delay of several series for each of them to appear....factor in that Vince was adamant about not having guys like HBK and Taker in the Legends line since they were still on the roster when they were planning these,and you really don't have as many otions at the start as we'd like to believe Mattel could've made starting with Series 1...
though i find it funny that Vince didn't want active roster participants in the Legends line - but they're okay as "Flashbacks" in the Elite line,or as an Exclusive (i.e. removable mask Kane), just as long as they're not classified as "Legends"! LOL!
