The "Y" shaped stitching on the top of his attire reminds me of the incisions doctors make while performing an autopsy which supports the whole resurrected gimmick.
Also, I think the reason he had the metal mask was supposed to be symbolic. He again unmasked himself to show that the mask is his true face, kind of how Batman is the true identity and Bruce Wayne is the mask... If that makes sense.

They could always go the Michael Myers Rob Zombie ruote where he only wears the mask when he wants to kill or in Kanes case destroy. However, I like the idea of him burning his face again or even using chards of a broken mirror to disfigured himself. I know its a PG but it can be alluded to without being directly stated.

I think it was right after he unmasked in 2003. The fire happened, but his scarring either healed over time, or it was just mental scars. I'm pretty sure Undertaker wouldn't let Paul and Kane accuse him of starting a fire if he never did. Besides he admitted to killing his parents in the fire. |

The best thing they should do is keep his charactor silent and give no explination what so ever to why he ressurected his former image. Kanes motives should be revealed when they actually have something consistent to go with his renewed gimmic. Btw I agree with an earlier post that Kane looks like one of those bootleg figures.
