I don't get uncomfortable watching his matches. I can see why people do, though.

I have no problem watching his matches. The man who performed in the ring was not the same man who commited the horrible acts to his family and himself. Benoit is still one of my favorites ever in the ring and I have no problem watching his matches. The only time I find it a tad awkward is when I see footage of him w/ his family. Besides that it doesn't bother me.

Take it for what you will, but I own the DVD and have watched the documentary and matches several times since '07. Doesn't bother me one bit.

I personally have no issue, because Chris Benoit, the wrestler, is the one on the screen, Now, if this was like home movies, yeah that'd be weird.

I have no issues watching the Benoit DVD...in fact i watched the documentary again after a couple years a month or so ago.
Also i bought the 2 disc Pegasus Kid DVD from Highspots and it's AMAZING! fans of Benoit matches definitely need to check this out.

I've watched the documentary once or twice and the matches a few times with my son. The Royal Rumble match with Angle is one of the best of all time.

Chris Benoit is one of my favorites of all time and will always be. I tried to get Hard Knocks back in 2004, and wasn't able to. I really want that DVD, and well, about 2 years ago I bought the Bret Hart DVD and watched the Owen Tribute match. I can still watch Benoit wrestle on YouTube, and like I said before, I really want to buy this DVD. While we're at it, I'd like to share a video I saw on YouTube about him. It's a very emotional video, or at least it is for me: Holy crapthat was some video.

I watched it recently, Id rather remember Benoit as the wrestler he was and not for the circumstances in which he and his family died.

Doesn't bother me to watch it. Along with Jericho, he was my favorite wrestler.
I can seperate wrestling from reality. I view Chris Benoit as a character really.

Not long after the tragedy I tried watching a Benoit match just to see if I could get through it. I chose his Armageddon 06 match against Chavo. I forgot about the storyline with Vickie Guerrero. They did an angle where Vickie's interference eventually causes Benoit to snap and go after her like he's going to attack her. That was kind of awkward to watch.

Don't get me wrong, I idolized Benoit. I was a huge fan since his first brief wCw run. He instantly became one of my life long favorites. I even lost my voice cheering for him at a rare WWE appearance in a dark match against Owen Hart, before he eventually returned to wCw.
Believe it or not... I named my son Owen out of respect to Chris, Bret, and of coarse Owen. Corny as it may seem they were like family.
But I choose not to watch Chris Benoit footage because I don't want to tarnish the memories I had watching him wrestle. I had tears of joy watching him win at Wrestlemania 20, and I don't want those tear of joy to become tears of sorrow. So I distance myself as much as possible.

I honestly still can't believe he's gone. I mean 2004 when he won the Rumble and won the belt at Mania it was like the ultimate underdog made it to the top. Still can't believe what happened and that he's gone.

I can't watch the DVD but watching Chris' matches has never been an issue. I understand why some wouldn't want to. But I never felt that Benoit's in-ring mastery should be erased because of the terrible circumstances surrounding the death of he, his wife, and his son. Just my opinion.

Never knew him personally only his business side and thats the only side I'll remember. What wrestlers do in there own time I try not to be intreasted in as it just annoys me. Nor do i want to meet them.
I know what he did but I can watch the wrestler Chris Beniot not the man. The fact is he is a part of pro wrestling history.

I've also got the DVD set and I'll probably never watch it again. How anyone can watch anything of his and actually enjoy it, is beyond me. That's a ing murderer on the screen. And it really bugs me when some people say stuff like "the wrestler in the ring is not the same man that perpetrated those horrific crimes", like they are 2 different people or somethin'. Give me a break. He's the same damn guy. One and the same. Some fans will truly live in denial forever. I laugh and shake my head at the moron fans that STILL think he's innocent and it was someone else. Wow....
