The Benoit dvd used to be a favourite of mine years ago, but I haven't watched it since 2007. I just find it would be too weird now to look back and see footage of him and his family.
Anyone else feel the same way about this DVD?? Does anyone actually still want to watch the story of his career and not feel a bit weird now??

I'm the exact same way dude. I just can't watch that DVD at all anymore. Nor do I really watch any of his matches. Which is a shame cause I always thought he put on a clinic in the ring.

Good, so it's not just me who feels this way too then about it. I can't even watch the ppv shows of that year with him as Champion. I used to love those ppvs too.

I tried to watch it sometime last year when I wanted to see a particular match but it was just weird.

Same with me. I just can't watch many matches with Benoit in them. I try to watch it if they're tag matches, but it is still pretty weird.

Chris Benoit is one of my favorites of all time and will always be. I tried to get Hard Knocks back in 2004, and wasn't able to. I really want that DVD, and well, about 2 years ago I bought the Bret Hart DVD and watched the Owen Tribute match. I can still watch Benoit wrestle on YouTube, and like I said before, I really want to buy this DVD.
While we're at it, I'd like to share a video I saw on YouTube about him. It's a very emotional video, or at least it is for me:

I agree it was a really good documentary dvd as well but i would have just felt to uncomfortable watching it after what happened so I sold mine I put it on the ol ebay for a tenner and it sold within a few minutes. It was weird because I knew I could probably get more for it but at the same time i would have felt weird about that as well.

I still own the dvd, but haven't watched it since '07 and probably never will again. As others have said, I have a real hard time watching anything of his after what he did.

I have never watched it, the only reason i still have mine is because its signed by Bret Hart and I dont see the oppurtunity to meet Bret ever arising again so i refuse to get rid of it.

I own the DVD but havent watched it in years. I can still watch Benoit matches on youtube sometimes so I dont think it will bother me to watch his DVD again. Oh, and that youtube video gave me chills man.

I watched it like four months ago at my buddies and it didn't bug me. I still feel that Benoit is one of the hardest working wrestlers ever to step into the ring, and it's sad that wrestling destroyed his brain. What Benoit did was horrible, but you have to understand the man was suffering from dementia that caused him to go crazy. For the record I don’t believe in God so that’s why I think the Benoit tragedy doesn’t affect me as much as others..

I get uncomfortable watching Benoit. It's a shame though because his matches from Japan on that DVD were classics.
I sold it at a local used video game/movie store months ago and haven't looked back.

I never owned the DVD, but I have no problem watching any of his matches. The guy who committed that horrible act isn't the same guy who delivered amazing matches, including my all-time favorite, Vs. Angle at the Rumble. At least in my eyes. Maybe the full-on documentary might be a different story, but I haven't had any problems yet.

I saw the DVD once in '04 and had the chance to purchase it around the beginning of '07, but passed on it. I personally don't have any problems watching any of his matches, but I completely understand why others do.

I bought it the day he died and I don't think I've ever watched it honestly. I mainly bought it because I thought it may be hard to come by in the future. I saw it when it first came out but haven't watched it since

I can watch the matches if I'm in the right mood for it, no problem because his matches are some of the best and he was my favourite wrestler but the documentary is still a bit weird for me to watch.

It was a long time before I could watch it. To this day, I still feel emotional wbout the whole ordeal.
I was initally very angry that a person of his talent and caliber, a role model, could commit sych horrible crimes. Now, I recognize that he had issues, plain and simple, whether from sterioids, head trauma, mental breakdown etc. It doesn't necessarily matter why at this point, either way he had some serious issues.
I choose to remember the skilled wrestler, grappler and role model he was prior to his transformation into the monsterous individual that committed those heinous crimes.
At the same time, I remain disgusted that he and those around him, that saw this transformation taking place, failed to step in and potentially help stop things from becoming worse.
Maybe Benoit couldn't realize that he was losing his grip, but I am more than positive that others around him did.
