Everytime i watch smackdown (i don't know if this happens on the US airing of it) but theres always a 15/20 min clip of a classic Smackdown match, I swear to god i've atleast seen Punk/Undertaker Submission match on it, 3 times.
So I was just wondering, Does Smackdown not tape enough to fill up the 2 hours (with breaks) without using the From The Vault, TNA seems to do it. It's really annoying seeing the same 2 year oldmatch on smackdown every single week

The US has a lot more adverts than the UK, so they tend to have time to fill. They've been doing it for as long as I can remember. I quite like the segment, had some quality matches on there before.

Because in USA, they do lots of adverts, and in the UK, we don't have lots of advert, so that is the way to refill the time slot.
We can't do it for RAW, because it is live, not taped like as SmackDown, where they can add The Vault to certian time, editing, etc...

You say that but I watched SD two weeks ago and it was a cruiserweights match.
I wish they'd show stuff from like "This week ten years ago" in from the vault.
I'd much sooner watch a match from WWF SD! 2001 than one I feel like I only watched a few weeks ago.
Like, seriously, 2009? That was hardly even five minutes ago, I can remember entire SmackDowns from that year never mind this mid card match you're telling us we need to remember.

I remember when they shown Finlay vs Kane for 3 weeks in a row, then Edge vs Taker then Kane vs Rey for 2 weeks.
They just reuse the same matches sometimes, the oldest match I saw and the most intriging to me was Chris Jericho vs John Cena from like 02 or something.
Needs more old matches.

Yeah I was watching Smackdown on youtube last month and Jericho vs. Punk from 2009 popped up. I was pleased.

Aw man. Even though it doesn't sound like there is much variety, I'm kind of upset that they don't do that here in the US. Much better than ads any day.

I had a friend tell me about that. When I had Foxtel, a subscription television network. There would be adds for TNA and a few other random things. It must get confusing going from 2011 to something from 2009 randomly
