Turning heel won't do it honestly. I think it will just flip who cheers him and who boos him but I could be wrong

Right now the only way he's getting over is when he's defending Zack Ryder or whichever state he's in. He can't go on at the rate he is trying to be a face that people don't really like :/

If he actually lost feuds, I would cheer him. I'm tired of him because I know that no matter what, he'll end up winning the feud, hence why I don't want any of my favorite superstars to feud with him.

If he just stops winning everything. If he gets in the Rumble, and doesn't make it in the final 4, It'll be a nice change. But then again, he is main eventing Wrestlemania.

I dont think anything would get him cheered. Hes in the same boat TNA is in, They have both been deemed S**T by the majority of wrestling fans and there is really no going back. I think fans boo Cena because they just dislike him. Obviously hes not a heel or anything so why boo him unless there is a flat out disliking of him.

I think If cena could develop a more diverse style so he suited a wider audience then that would help. But the no pressure stf, the cartoon comebacks and the unwillingness to sell anything makes people boo him. If Cena had done a clean job for del rio and enforced the arm breaker that wwe built for a year rather than just powering out of his finisher in a superhero comeback then he Wouk have elevated ADR rather than crash him back down.
His punches and his cartoon fist drop that is so far off his opponents heads has to go. He needs an updated look, maybe a Shawn michaels esk beard, new music and be able to tell the writers that he is willing and wanting to sell moves for people.
Ultimately that will help him, his opponents and the business. Just watched the bash from 2009 and his match with miz shows all his flaws when he crushed him.
Just my thoughts

I think he would have to turn heel or at least be a tweener.
I would like him more if he changed it up however I don't think I would cheer for him it would just not be so boring for me to watch him.

John Cena actually reminds me a lot like Rocky Maivia. He's so much of a goody-two shoes, that the fans are actually starting to turn on him. I think the heel turn can ease him into an edgier face in the future. It did wonders for The Rock so maybe it can help reinvent Cena a little bit.
