Paul gets my vote (if he happens to win the nomination). If not, it will be Gary Johnson. Unfortunately it looks as though Obama is getting re-elected.

Obama will dominate, and if I were American I'd vote for him.

Want Paul to win, but will end up voting for Obama if and when Paul does not get the Republican nomination.

Presumably because whomever is picked for the republican nomination in Paul's stead (which is the condition under which he said would vote for Obama) would also be the complete opposite of Paul, except with a higher chance of fewer civil liberties.

There are some people (like me) who like certain aspects of Obama and certain aspects of Paul. Not everyone is 100% behind any specific candidate. So, if it would somehow end up being Obama vs. Santorum or Gingrich, my vote would defintiely go to Obama. Also, in certain cases you just have to vote for "the lesser of two evils".

I just wonder how you can support Paul but then vote for the complete opposite in Obama. they are polar opposites on basically every level how can you support a small government candidate like Paul then turn around and support a big government guy like Obama? what are these "aspects"?

Obama will dominate, and if I were American I'd vote for him. Why? Just curious. Probably because the media make him out to be the greatest thing since Jesus Christ over here in the UK. (maybe he has his reasons though but its just my guess_ Am I the only one who can't help but think he got voted in purely because he was black? It seemed like everyone thought, 'Well our country is f*cked, so lets seek change and vote for a black guy'. Santorum would be my best bet, but hey, i'm not american.

I really wish people would listen to Huntsman. Being a Democrat through and through, I still love this guy. But unfortunately he's not trying to, you know, end the public education system, greatly downsize the military or essentially get rid of the child labor laws. No, I'm not knocking anyone elses candidates, I'm just stating that he will never get people to listen to him because he's not radical enough. Hell, Huntsman even said that himself a month or so ago in an interview. It's a real shame.
Don't get me wrong, I still support Obama. I think him being at the disadvantage of having a split house and senate will ultimately lead to either his booting from the White House, or make his next term just as quiet as the first...which is ashame. Not everything is just his fault...he does kind of have no help one way or the other. Sadly, no matter who is President come January 21st, 2013, nothing still will be done. Obama, Paul, Huntsman, Santorum...none of these guys will be able to get a republican house and a democratic senate to coexist. None of them are miracle workers.

And no Zigs, he wasn't elected just because he was black. The platform that he ran on was arguably one of the strongest platforms in years...and plus, whatever Democrat had won the party nomination was probably going to win the election anyways because we had just had eight years of Bush and the Republicans.
The color of his skin was a good feel-good moment for a lot of people, even if they hated his politics, but that was the extent of it in my opinion. Whenever a woman wins the presidential election, it'll be the same. It'll be a feel-good moment from that aspect...but that's about it. She'll be elected because of her politics, not just because she's a woman.
