Official TNA iMPACT 2012 Thread

I liked Impact. I really liked the chaotic ending. Hopefully Roode retains at Genesis, but I can see Hardy winning it.

The show was pretty entertaining from start to finish. I found myself doing two things that really caught me off guard. The first was getting into the KOs tag match. I'm a Rayne fan, but I wasn't really sold on the tag team idea with her. She and Gail really worked a good match, even though Traci is super limited, and even as a prop I think those two are great with the KO Tag Titles. The second, was how much I laughed at Eric Young. Usually, I chuckle but largely feel embarrassed for the guy. This time he was legitimately funny imo, especially when he put Rayne in a locker.

Austin Aries losing is meh. I see what they were going for but I still don't think people are going to take to Sorensen the way TNA wants them to. I really loved the brawl at the end. It just really felt like a heading into a PPV moment. Joe and Magnus winning, and what appears to be a Kaz heel turn was pretty cool. Maybe Kaz and Daniels will become a tag team while AJ takes up a feud with Roode or Angle.

I don't like Bully Ray, at all, but he had by far one of the best lines I have heard on TNA in a long time when he looked into the camera and said, "Dusty never needed abs!" I thought that was great, although, I have no idea why he was showing off his calves?

Just so this gets some traffic.

- Roode and Sting have a great dynamic. Other than a few eye rolling moments for his cheesy quotes, which is pretty easy to let slide, I think Sting is a great GM type of character for TNA.

- Robbie E and Robbie T got squashed, just like they should be. The Joe and Magnus attack and then holding the titles was fantastic imo.

- Nobody cares about anyone named Bischoff

- Eric Young and ODB are entertaining imo. I know it sounds crazy, but EY with an actual direction to his craziness makes me laugh, like I find him actually entertaining. Winter and ODB had a short decent match as well, despite the comedy routine of EY and Love.

- Storm and Angle are better with shorter time imo. I liked that match more than the PPV match they just had. Angle needs to learn how to do a superkick though. I know he is Kurt Angle, and he is one of the best, but he does look stupid not being able to do the kick imo. I liked that Storm grabbed the win, but I don't think that ones over until at least the next PPV.

- Hardy vs Roode was great. Fast paced action, both guys got in their offense and the finish was just exactly what needed to happen. I got caught up in the match and thought Jeff was going to win to be honest. I would like to see them have some type of gimmick match in their next go round. Maybe in a cage to keep out interference or maybe a ladder match to play to Jeff's "strengths." I thought this was a feud that would land Jeff the title, but that would mean Angle needs to walk out victorious from the Storm feud. I guess we will see.

Well in all fairness, if the feud is going to continue, and TNA is going to put the two guys in a match, you can't really have a clean finish. The goal is to make people pay to see the clean finish.

I know a lot of people were pissed about Genesis, because of all the non clean finishes, but I think the majority of those finishes made sense to advance the angles. I thought last nights no finish was great personally, as well as the main event DQ finish at Genesis, but I'm caught up in the feud so I want to see it keep going. In modern day wrestling, I feel like a guy can only be cleanly pinned once or twice before he loses credibility and the Champion or challenger moves on. Roode and Hardy have to stay on level playing ground.

sting sounds like someone who's been drinking for years trying to pull out a cohesive sentence...pull out big wooden ruler and spank bobby's butt? lol

still, good opener for sure. roode is strong on the mic for the most part.

That opening thing was pretty obvious but cool to see Jeff nonetheless.
