I happened to visit a local K-mart recently, and there were only three different figures from E12 - one Del Rio, one Gabriel, and no less than eight Randy Ortons. These were in addition to Orton's last Elite figure, which is still hanging around that same K-mart.
Anyone else seeing this?

Our K Mart has only Ortons left from series 12. Target had 3 Ortons and 1 Gabriel. He is not as popular as WWE thinks he is, I guess?

The only Elite 12 figures at both my K-Mart and Target are Orton and Del Rio. Last I checked Target had 8 Ortons, and 6 Del Rios, and K-Mart had 6 Ortons, and 5 Del Rios.

I never noticed this, but someone made a point about the Ortons a while back. Yesterday, while at Wal-Mart, I noticed they had 24, yes 24, Elite Ortons (this is between the last 2 Elites series and the BO2011 Elite), not to mention a handful of Flex Force figs I didn't bother to count. May be time for Matty to slow down on the Ortons, yes?

agreed, it's time for WWE to slow on the Orton too, thankfully he's injured so he can come back and actually regain popularity.

Yes, at almost every K-Mart, Wal-Mart or Target I've been to in the last few weeks on Long Island, there seems to be an abundance of E12 Ortons on the pegs, as well as ADRs and even Papa Shangos (guess the Flashback series is only popular with the older collectors like me).

That's kind of unusual. Papa Shango was the figure I wanted most out of this series, and if I wouldn't have gotten there on the day my K-mart put out the case, I doubt I would have found him. Legends (well, except series 2 & 3) move pretty quickly in my area.

I wouldn't say pegwarming seeing Elite 12 just hit within the last 30 days. And there is usually just as many (or in some case more) Elite 12 Del Rio figures. Both of which are 2 or 3 per figures. So going by that I'd say Del Rio is a bigger pegwarmer (If you can call any that this early) because at least with the E12 Orton he is competing against the Best of 2011 Orton which came out a few weeks before E12...but Elite 12 Del rio is his first Elite.

There's 2-3 Orton's at both of the Target's here. He's the only one from the series that isn't selling.

Both he & ADR are currently warming. This is only going to get worse as both are off tv.

A Target I went to yesterday had 4 Ortons, 3 Del Rios, a Gabriel and a Papa Shango on the pegs. D Bry and Kane are clearly feeling the benefits of being pushed so heavily on TV.

like what PJ said, the k-marts by my area usually have equal numbers of del rio and ortons... occasionally i'll see some boe or elite 9 ortons... they sell quite well around my area for some reason..

i went on a elite 12 search yesterday at a few targets and all i found were orton and del rio. and target raising the elite price to 19 bucks isn't gonna help either.

The orton is the only elite 12 I see anymore really...don't think it's because people arnt buying him its more so that people probably already have him...all the others in that series are going on there first elite figure (exept Kane but its a very unique Kane) so it would make sense that collectors and kids would hold off on orton since he's already been done so many times in elite and basic form....anyways that was my justification as to why I bought the other figures before Orion's.

My Target has like 9 Orton's and 1 Del Rio last time I was there (Friday).
Luckily I found my Elite 12 figures already. Kane was really hard to find.

Every store in my area has at least 3 elite Orton's on the shelf. Some have as many as 10 or 12.
