Noticed this today when I was perusing Amazon, people are pricing the figure at anywhere from $43 to $59. As far as I thought, there wasn't anything significant to this figure and they were produced just as much as the other figures in the series, weren't they?
I have one I am trying to unload but I have no idea how to gauge what I should ask for it because of this. Is this Amazon trying to inflate prices due to the popularity of Zack Ryder?

Yeah as we all know when someone gets popular their figure gets expensive and even more when there are only 1 elite and 1 basic of Ryder, you could sell yours for alot considered it as your benefiting from the Ryder Revolution

Ryder was at least slightly shortpacked. People on here found cases of that series (I forget if it was the basic or the elite one) that had no Ryder.

I think $30 is a lot to ask but you could probably get that and still not feel like you are gouging anyone too much. My guess is when the next one comes out, this one will drop in price.

Thanks for taking my attention to Amazon! Just got George Steele for 15 bucks and Miz/Riley for 20 bucks with no tax and free shipping! Now I just need Texas Tornado to have every legend.

I would take any prices on Amazon with a grain of salt.
Most of the figures you'll find for sale on Amazon are from third-party sellers. I'm sure these people just think Zack Ryder is worth a lot and are trying to get the highest possible price for it. I could list the biggest shelf-warmer out there on Amazon for ten thousand dollars, but that doesn't mean it's worth that or that I'd get it.
Scalping issues aside, the best way to find out what a fair price is on figures (or anything else at all) is to check completed listings on eBay.

On Amazon, under where it says "In Stock"...if it says something like... "Sold by starworldtoys and Fulfilled by Amazon. Gift-wrap available." and it's overpriced, then it is just a scalper...i only buy figs from Amazon if it says... "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. Gift-wrap available." Amazon does not scalp figures.

Yeah it did go up slightly. I been keeping an eye on him even thought I already had one since summer time. He was at $29.99 for most of last year but he must have just sky rocketed recently due to his US title holdings. Whenever a figure holds the belt currently in the wwe, all sudden there demand sky rockets and so does the price. I remember when E5 Mark Henry was only $20 for the longest time on Amazon and I kept pushing it off. Well, finally he got the WHC and his push and now everyone is asking $50-$60 for the guy. Its outrageous. Thats why I sayi ts better to order them while there first coming out or with in the first few months cause that price could jack up easily over time, you never know who is gonna become expensive and who is not. I usually don't think $30 is a lot to pay for a figure if its $30 + Free shipping included in that price but even $30 + shipping is not bad if you got a guy thats going for $50 like Ryder currently is. I would sell him for $30 + shipping and someone will def buy him.

I don't understand why Mattel shortpacks guys like Zack Ryder when they are so popular

The same with CM punk, he is a popular wrestler that is scarce, he should be as available as John Cena or Randy Orton.

Well I put my elite Ryder on ebay for £15 and got £50. Shows the popularity of him right now.

I actually broke down and got the Elite Ryder off eBay this morning for about $43 shipped, plus I ordered a custom Internet Championship for another $5, and a Broski shirt from Ralph's. My patience has finally worn thin.
