What was the reason for having Bulldog vs. Berzerker pulled off of Wrestlemania 8 and the same with having Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Kamala pulled off Wrestlemania 9?? Anyone know why those matches didn't happen??

Anyone know why those matches didn't happen?? I don't know about Bigelow and Kamala, but I had always heard Bulldog and Berzerker were bumped from 8 due to time, basically. |

It's weird that a number of early wrestlemanias (III, IV, V, VI, VII) had more matches and all made it on the card yet VIII, IX and X had less matches to start and had a match cut.
We didn't miss much with Kamala and Bigelow or Berzerker and Bulldog and the X 10 man tag was on Raw but it would have still been nice for the fans to get an extra match for their money.

Kinda off topic but I cant remember...was the Skinner-Owen Hart match announced for WM8? It just seemed like the most pointless match up with no buildup whatsoever. I couldnt figure out how it got on and Bulldog/Berzerker didnt

Average match lengths became longer. Look at Wrestlemania III, for example. With 12 matches, only two matches went over 10 minutes, and none cleared 15. Half of them were under 6 At VIII, there were 9 matches. 5 matches went over 10 minutes, and only 2 were under 5. I only looked up those two, but I'm guessing they are good examples of why that trend happened. |

Prolly didn't want to have a 90 second berserker/bulldog match so it was scrapped altogether |

Bigelow and Kamala was advertised in the souvenir program as was bulldog/berzerker the previous year, and on the WM 9 video it shows kamala at the end with the elephant, says he was busy backstage or something like that.

I was at Wrestlemania 8 and I saw Bulldog before the event. If I remember right at the end of the Coliseum Home Video it said the match didn't happen due to time constraints.

Bigelow/Kamala was cut due to time constraints, also Wrestlemania 10 had a 10 man tag which was: Tatanka, Bob Holly, Smokin Gunns and 123 Kid vs IRS, HeadShrinkers, Rick Martel and Jeff Jarret. Which was cut because Shawn and Razor took longer than expected in their Ladder match, it also meant that the Earthquake/Adam Bomb match turned into a squash. Fun fact: Neidhart was Flair's first ever opponent in the wwe. |

I always heard both were bumped due to time constraints too. This is what I alwys heard as well. I doubt either of them would have been classics, but they nonetheless would have been cool to watch. |

Here is a match just over a month after Wrestlemania 9, took place on Wrestling challenge BUT i do remember watching a match between the two and i am sure it was on monday night raw around the same time as this one
