I hate how I can't use my contenders pack online! ugh. THQ needs to fix this. Oh well, at least the servers are fixed now. Been playing for a whole 2hrs with no disconnects.

I love watching CPU vs CPU fights on Ultimate. Sonnen vs Silva is a battle of epic ground reversals.
Silva won via 5th round TKO with a minute left in the fight. Sonnen was winning the fight up until then.

The very first fight I did on the game was Silva vs. Sonnen cpu vs. cpu.
Silva won in the 4th with a armbar.
Sonnen won a rematch though by GnP TKO.

Who's idea was it to have NO DNF in ranked matches? I've had so many guys rage quit on me once they realized they weren't gonna steam roll me with GSP or Silva. All without consequence.

I just wish I didn't have to spend 2-3 bucks to get a regular CAF to his normal stats...Downloaded an awesome Fedor, only for him to have stats in the 50's...eh.

I was watching Shields vs. Bader in PRIDE mode earlier and Bader attempted to slam Shields but tripped, Shields ended up in full mount, and Bas Rutten mentioned how it reminded him of the Fedor/Hong Man Choi fight and I realized how sorely lacking of Fedor this game truly is.
If it had Barnett, Fedor, and Sakuraba, it would literally be the perfect, be-all, end-all MMA game as far as I'm concerned.

Finished career mode last night. The last fight for my CAF was a Bantamweight Title fight between myself and my Sityodtong teammate Miguel Torres. Torres came in as defending champ. The fight was an epic 5 round back and forth war. Lost a close 48-47 decision and I wasn't even upset about it. Hell of a way to end the career by putting on an amazing fight with my teammate. Ended my career as a former Bantamweight champ, 2x PRIDE GP Champion, and UFC Hall of Famer.
I'm having a blast with the game.

Finished my career as well. 43-1. My lone loss was a knockout loss to Evans for the Light Heavyweight title, but I got my revenge a few fights later with a Knockout of the Night front kick.

3 Fight of the Year awards
1 Knockout of the Year award
2x Light Heavyweight Champion
1 Middleweight Champion
2x Pride Middleweight GP Champion

And according to the records in my Career, I'm apparently the only person to beat Anderson Silva in the UFC....and twice, no less.
I think the only things I would have liked done better in career mode is:
1. Post Fight Interviews - Yeah, they got annoying in UFC 2010 but they shouldn't have just been removed. Improve, give more options of what to say. Take a page from Mass Effect's book.
2. Weigh Ins - Two poses, that mean nothing. If anything, you should have more than 2 options of what to do, and how you decide should effect the "hype" going into a fight.
3. Training Regimns - Some of them, like the Tire Push, have little to no helpful information on how to complete the training and get the most points. It's kind of annoying, especially when it causes some ratings to go down without even telling you why.
I've had a negative return on some training despite completing it almost perfect AND having not done that one previously.

what difficulty are you guys doing career in? I am having a so-so carerr in my first career and haven't been able to beat and actual UFc fighter yet but I am at the highest difficulty and may have jumped to the UFC to soon.

I did that in my first career...Jumped right into Advanced, did awesome in WFA, and got my ass handed to me for a bit in the UFC. I ended that career going 30-18. 1x Lightweight champ.
It gets easier once you get the hang of everything. Just uh...title matches become a real bitch. Difficulty goes up a notch when you're the challenger. Took me 4 title matches to finally beat Gray Maynard for the belt.

As much as I love Undisputed 3, I'm becoming more and more displeased with the ground game aspect of the fighting system. Just did title fight with Nick Diaz against Nate on Ultimate difficulty and pretty much dominated the standup and even did pretty well on the ground despite the transitions being ridiculous and ever single thing I did getting reversed. I fought off like 11 submission attempts, and rocked him twice in the fight, and nearly finished him in the 4th with a RNC. His head was at like 84% damage by the time the 5th started and mine was probably around 30%-40%.
We went on the ground and he managed to get side control. I was really tired of having to rotate and furiously press buttons to stay alive on the ground by this point and was trying to get it back to the feet so I could either finish him standing or go to a decision.
He punched me like 3 times from side control, rocked me, and TKO'd me with punches with 7 seconds left in the fight. Utter bullsh*t.

Just a quick question, I haven't even tried online since I figure its just as much a pain in the ass as WWE 12 is, but can you download created fighters on the game like you can with WWE 12?

You can download highlight reels, logos, fighters, and created events. And for the record, I did my career on Advanced, with a Karate based fighter, orthodox stance and right handed. I feel a lot better about the ground game, once I switched back to the "advanced" controls. Flicking the stick for transitions seems to mess me up when I'm just trying to reverse a transition. Personally, my biggest issue has been learning to sway when I'm on the ground, especially if I'm rocked. It's quite satisfying to get really rocked, dodge every strike, and get back up to give yourself a chance. |

I played the free demo and the controls were just not for me so I will stick with EA MMA. I do love the game but did not like how I had to use the controls.

Did you try using the Amateur controls instead of the Pro? Because they are very similar to the EA MMA controls. Just the striking is much better. |

I still can't get over how lopsided the GnP is on this game. No way it should be a powerful as it is for everyone. I mean, you choose Coleman, Lesnar, or someone with sick GnP and I get that you should have a problem with them in that department. But freaking Ben Rothwell shouldn't be able to just hold me down to the ground an GnP me for 5 minutes straight.
