They dropped the ball with NXT after Season 3, in my opinion.

Kurt Angle in 2001. I'm not exactly "for" using 9/11 as a marketing tactic...but he's an olympic gold medalist and should have more or less "Captain America" that year. Plus Kurt Angle was already gold in 2001 anyways. Milk Bash, anyone? Yeah this really. He should definately of Main Evented Wrestlemania 18 anyway, never understood why they couldn't just do Chris Jericho vs Kurt Angle vs Triple H, would of made for a much better Match.

The easiest answer is Shelton Benjamin. His problem, though, was that he was so good that he allowed himself to take nights off because, even when he dogged it, he realized he was better than 90% of the roster. Had he performed to the best of his abilities ALL of the time, Vince and company would have pushed him harder than they did.
Carlito did not have the passion for wrestling that someone like his brother Primo does.
My pick? Chris Masters. During his first run, he wasn't a very skilled in-ring performer. But he had the look. He had THE look. When he came back, he was a much better wrestler, more polished. The fact that he had the complete package and they still managed to fumble the ball with him makes it that much more baffling.

Well firstly I don't think WWE dropped the ball with Hassan .. They just kind of had a few lapses in judgement in getting his character over as a super heel . I feel like WWE dropped the ball in regards to Nexus for sure as they could have easily been a powerful heel stable for a very long time. In addition, I think the ball was dropped in regards to CM punk when he won the title an left WWE and also in regards to awesome truth when they have punks gimmick to Them

Benjamin, Nexus and Angle in 2006. Why would Angle be in ECW? What a horrible move that was. No wonder he left and went to TNA.. He didn't leave because the move to ECW. He was put there to have maybe a lighter schedule and so the brand would have a vet that could work with everyone else on the brand to make them look better. A job that later was given to Benoit, Finlay, Regal, Christain........

Vader's WWF run was horrible and they completely dropped the ball with him. Vader was a monster and huge draw everywhere he went. His first WWF match? The Royal Rumble, in which he got eliminated. Not exactly a great start. Had good feuds with HBK and Taker, and ended up losing both of them, awful feud with Yoko then he just sorta disappeared. This x1000. Vader deserved better, though that doesn't necessarily mean he needed a long WWF title reign for validation. A win at SummerSlam 1996 through Royal Rumble 1997 would have sufficed. Just as long as he stays competitive in feuds for the next couple years and doesn't refer to himself as a "big fat piece of shit", I'm cool with that. Still, I'd rank Vader behind the Nexus storyline, post-Montreal Screwjob "Black Hart" Owen Hart, fallout from the "Summer of Punk", and the Invasion 2001 storyline.

I don't think WWE has dropped the ball with anybody. Trust me, if there is one thing WWE and especially Vince McMahon are good at is making money. If any of the people had the potential to draw SERIOUS money for WWE, they would have kept them. Name one wrestler that WWE had and fired that went on to prove them wrong and be a draw somewhere else? Shelton Benjamin....awesome talent. NO CHARISMA. No talking ability. He's 1/3 of the package you need to be a successful WWE Superstar and a draw in the business. Having great matches and no personality doesn't get it done. You need to draw the fans in and give them a reason to care about you. Bottom line, every person that has ever been let go by WWE has ended up wrestling in either TNA drawing no money or ratings, or wrestling in high school gym's and your local town recreation center. Errrr...Hulk Hogan? Macho? Luger? Nash and Hall? Flair?? Come on man. Look past the last 10 years.

Sean O'Haire? Dean Malenko? Chavo Guerrero? Mark Jindrak? Raven?
Not being funny but, people who have responded with names like that surely didn't think they were World Champion material right?!
I mean, I liked Raven, but when did he ever even look like he was going to be pushed in WWE? Just 'cause he was a top ECW guy doesn't mean he was gonna be that big in WWE.
