Can someone explain the love affair with "EDGE?"

Your probably gonna get flamed to high heavens for saying that but I do agree with you. I never cared for Edge either.

I agree for the most part. I don't mind him but I've always thought Christian was a lot better.

Well I've actually met Edge at an auto signing and he is incredibly friendly and nice so I can't say anything bad about the guy. Even if I never met him I would still be a fan because I also find him to be very entertaining, talented and charismatic, but to each his own.

To me he was one of the few guys that made promos believable. He had so much passion on the mic and in the ring.

Edge was pineer in tag team wrestling in the 90's as well has revolutionizing the ladder and tlc matches. He always had a great passion in everything he did, and had an energy that can't be matched. He was able to make the transition from face to heel without missing a beat. He was also able to cut a damn good promo. He's also has had classic on top of classic matches wether it was all thoes tag team ladder matches, or againts christian, eddie, kurt angle, rey, undertaker, cena, jericho, etc.

Wether you like him or not there is no denying he has had a Hall Of Fame career.

Multiple Intercontential title reigns, 11 time world title reigns, all thoes tag title reigns on of which he held with Hulk Freaking Hogan!

First money in the bank winner, first to cash it in twice.

Like him or not he belongs in the HOF

1) Being a fan of the guy is not a "love affair"

3) Edge is my all time favorite superstar, bar none. You want to know what the "love affair" is? Here's a few reasons for me personally:
Edge was obviously one of those passionate fans, who grew up watching wrestling, and finally saw his dream realized and became a professional wrestler himself. That right there makes him relatable to other fans. Also, he was extremely entertaining in the ring and out of it. His passion for his career showed through in every aspect of it, and made people respect him, and in turn, made them like him. He was incredibly believable in whatever it was he was doing, be it as a bad ass "Rated R" Heel, or the loveable, hokey face character. He busted his ass and put his body on the line night in and night out for over a decade to get where he got. He deserved every accomplishment that came his way. Hall of Fame included. Edge MADE WWE for me. I can honestly say that I was heartbroken and even shed a few tears when I found out he was retiring, and can't express how glad I am for him that he's getting recognized in the Hall of Fame. Clearly I'm not the only one who thinks he's one of the greats.

Agree or disagree, I don't care. Edge is, and forever will be my number 1. EDGEHEAD FOREVER!

I feel Edge to be one of my favorite WWE superstars of all times. He's charismatic, entertaining, puts on great matches/bumps, spot etc. He's
great on the mic.

Amazing promos/tributes, Edge has it all and to think if it wasn't for that
neck injury a few years ago, he might have possibly been entertaining
us till this day. There's no possible way anyone could have the least
amount of respect for the man unless it was something personal and no
he wasn't injured more then he wrestled and for the most part your
argument on why you don't like him as much as Christian is such a
weak statement your points are well though out to be honest.

Edit: I do respect your opinion and I'm not upset I do think Christian
is a great wrestler as well.

Christian is one of those guys, who're good, but not "that good."
Edge had everything that was needed to accomplish what he did, there are plenty of reasons why one has had more success than the other, and it's nothing political. Edge was just that much better than Christian and about 80-90% of the guys in the back.
