May 10, 2002 - Today in a press conference in Nashville, Tennessee, former WWF Intercontinental Champion, Jeff jarrett and his father, Jerry Jarrett have announced the alternative to sports-entertainment. The Jarrett's announced that their new wrestling promotion called Total Nonstop Action with help from the National Wrestling Alliance will become the number one wrestling promotion in the world.
The Jarretts have announced that they are going to showcase some newer talent to the world but they will also include some members of wrestling's past.
