The entire first-run shipment is like that. People are trying to get them on eBay for over $100.00. It was also a featured article on Yahoo. It's a typo-not the "Hot Coffee" Mod. It's not news worthy in my opinon.

This. But it'll never happen, because Nintendo is highly protective of Mario. He'll never become "dark" or "evil" or anything more than a kid-friendly mascot. They'll never "Conker" him. He's one of the few characters in video game history that'll never truly receive a makeover because Nintendo uses him as their flagship character.

This was once true of, say, Mickey Mouse. But that character has been thrown aside in favor of Pixars characters in a animation overhaul for the company to appear more modern. They tried to alter Mickey in Epic Mickey for the next generation, bringing out his mischievous and more wreckless side, but it didnt fair was well as Disney had hoped.

For a game like, say. Mario Vs. Sonic, it would have to become something that's not attached to the characters attitudes, mostly, some sort of action adventure fighter. And Nintendo would not let Mario lose. They've invested way too much into his character to lose to a now third rate mascot of a long gone corporation( and the fact that Sega is a software company only now).

The Mario Vs. Sonic At the Olympic Games series is a "safe" way for Nintendo to feature their flagship character without him losing any credibility with kids and hardcore Mario fans, and Sonic fans alike. If Nintendo and Sega created a Vs. game where one would be the definitive, canon winner, it would cause a huge backlash.

Bottom line: we will never see Sonic Vs. Mario (the brawler) in our generation. Ever.

Although I highly respect your opinion, that's the exact same concept as the Olympic games. Stick him in a "safe zone" environment and everyone wins-at least the companies do.

Well never see Star Mario trade blows with Super Sonic, I guess sums it up.

I definitely don't want a Sonic Vs. Mario game; if I wanted to beat Mario up as Sonic I'll play Brawl. I hate the Olympic Games, and I don't understand why they can't just do a platformer game together. As long as I remember, I wanted to play a Sonic and Mario game where they teamed up to take on Bowser and Eggman. Mario could play some Classic Sonic levels redesigned for Mario gameplay stlye; Sonic could play some classic Mario levels redesigned for Sonic's gameplay style. Of course, their would be a handful of original levels. The game would easily sell like crazy and it wouldn't tarnish Mario's character at all. I understand the chances of this happening aren't too high, but god damn I'm going to continue hoping for it.

I'm betting that we get Pikmin 3 at launch since it's been in the works for years now (started out on Wii). I think a HD-actiony kinda game would suit the Wii U's launch, too - like, say, an F-Zero or StarFox game. Something to show people that this isn't just an extension of the Wii but rather a high-definition powerhouse of a console. We'll get at least a 1 year grace period for Wii U as the best looking console before whatever behemoth comes out for PS3/360's successors. This time the generational gap won't be as noticeable....at least, I think.
